Featuring sea views, Olbiamare 44 has accommodations with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, around 3 miles from Isola Bianca Harbour. Free WiFi is provided. We stayed at the Olbiamara for the first week of September, and our experience was wonderful. Owners are very hospitable, ready to help with any information (from excursions, beaches, to good food), but especially they are very flexible, because of the late flight we had the option to check-in only after 23:00, which was not a problem, the owners expected us and show the accommodations despite of the late hours. Also regarding the chec-out any problems (6:00). The apartment is exactly as described in the description, and shown in the pictures. We had a large terrace overlooking on the marina. The kitchen is fully covered with all the necessary utensils, there is no need for own towels and bedding sets since everything is included in the price and very clean. The apartment includes a private parking space and the access is possible with electric garage door, which allows more security for your car. In the immediate vicinity (5 minutes walk) there is a huge shopping center, also the airport (Olbia Costa Smeralda) is a couple of minutes away by car or 30 minutes walk. In short, our experience was excellent and I recommend it to everyone at an affordable price.

La Maddalena islands, Porto Cervo and Corsica were my fav destinations, my friends and I did not drive so it was a pain to go around as public transportation is v limited during non peak time n taxis are super expensive
We started off at Porto Cervo. You really need a car to see all the harbours, the views and seaside villages which are spectacular. Visited some lovely places with Santa Teresa Gallura, Cannigione and Baja Sardinia being our favourites. We had a car for 3 days and then walked around the local area for the remainder of the week. After that we travelled to Pittulongu Beach and stayed there for 4 days. We stayed at a small boutique Hotel Stefania and can't praise it enough it was amazing. There is a very good restaurant attached to the hotel and also restaurants along the beach within a few minutes walk. Really enjoyed our 12 day visit and Sardinia has such lovely people.
Resturants in the town were not good (bad service and food etc) , but we found a great restaurant Called Pink Bar near the airport where the food was fresh, fine and great price and the owner/staff were so hospitable and fantastic. Locals were visiting it and definitely worth a try. or to their other restaurant called Pauls at San Paulo -the suckling pig was the best I've ever had.
I was only passing through, so cannot comment on Olbia very much. All my time was spent at Alghero, but having seen Olbia I wish I had split up my time. Very interesting area and coastline, said to have among the best sights and places to go in Sardegna.
Much nicer than the reviews suggest. Lovely to stay in Olbia and be able to walk to restaurants and shops and a very short drive along the Esmeralda coast. Note: Porto Cervo is disappointing in my view.
Olbia is a beautiful town, with plenty of eating places, live music and atmosphere. From the classic cars all lined up on the Sunday morning to the buskers on the streets and the open market every day. We ate at several different restaurants and cafes, some just cheap and others more up market. Getting around - local buses good, trains from station - we figured this out. With hindsight, hiring a car would have been better, you can travel and see more places, we were limited. Fun activities - taking a boat ride and seeing the lighthouse and the mussels farming. Live music - always a pleasure to listen to and especially as its free.
