The place is very clean and comfy, with all the facilities you’d need. We were worried about transportation on the island and other logistical issues, but our host is so lovely and helpful. We can’t be luckier to have her!

Nice little house, completely redone. Everything is new, location is 1 min from the harbor and beach.
Great bond fire outside. bicycles available for free, we also rented a car from which was very convenient.
Lastly Nicolas and Keiji are absolutely five stars guests, doing everything and beyond to make you feel welcome.

The facilities and view were amazing and really made us feel comfortable for the 2 days we stayed there! The owners also prepared the outdoor barbecue for us which was so nice!

Great location right on the beach, and you can rent bikes from the front desk (sadly it was pouring rain while I was there). I enjoyed just sitting looking out at the water as the storm passed by. Nice onsen!

Went on the 5-hour guided tour of the islands and churches - that was truly amazing & memorable ! Highly recommended. Only pity was the tour was conducted in Japanese only without translation but we still enjoyed it very much.

Its an industrial town - not a city - and wonderful as a place to stay and as a stepping point for ferries to the islands. Rent a car and explore the island. Also the town museum is fantastic - its GOTO movie is wonderful. Everything you need is within easy walk and people are friendly although few speak English (take a mobile phone translator). Its very very Japanese which you expect but for some Westerners it might be a little challenging. the Tourist Office at the Port is exceptional.

I think the most outstanding quality of this hotel was the service of the staff. They arranged for us to have a driver for an entire day to discover the island and its history. The driver was a local man who was very familiar with the interesting history of the island and answered all of our many questions. This is not to detract from an absolutely spectacular room with a window wall view of the ocean and the small islands in the distance. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and these meals were excellent.

A great place to explore Japanese island life! Not only is the nature beautiful, but the people are very kind and helpful. To get the most out of a trip to Goto, I recommend traveling with only a few specific places to visit in mind and filling in the gaps with some natural exploration. The places I wanted to see were great, but it was the little surprising spots and locations along the way that became the most memorable.
