Location - 6 minutes walking distance from the train station. Next to the canal boat tour. Book online in advance. It goes to the middle of the town and offers a free shuttle back to the starting point near this hotel. Very good dinner and breakfast option. The owner was very nice and honestly made a price arrangement for a solo traveller. The stay made me a great impression and memory of Yanagawa.

I'd strongly recommend taking the time to ensure that the accommodation you're booking is close enough to any specific areas you wish to visit. Saga itself, is simply a township without too many attractions other than a museum, a castle and a couple of short, pretty walks. If you want to see something further afield, such as Arita or Imari (located in the Saga region), be prepared for quite a bit of travel. Even places to stay near these areas are several kilometers away.
