From the moment we arrived we were in good hands. When we asked about different trip options and bus tickets, they took a lot of time and patience to explain everything to us with great kindness. The room was clean, comfortable and not too cool and the shower was great! Finally a shower with enough water pressure :)
They had a little puppy, very cute and playful.

Unbeatable hostel for quality / price ratio. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They gave me advice and maps for Champasak and Don Det. Room is brand new, clean and has air con.
And there are bananas for free at reception 🍌

Chato is by far a more relaxed place. Quiet but in the middle of restaurants and cafes. Situated in front of the night market, ATMs , Korean food, even a Thai coffee shop . Chato is your best option . Skip the trendy , pricy places, as they are not always the best. Sleep well at Chato .

This is hands-down the best hostel in Pakse.
From the moment of checking in, I was greeted warmly by the lady who manages the property. She had all the travel information I could possibly want at her fingertips. "Motorbike loop around Bolaven Plateau? No problem, here's a map and the places where you'd want to stay. Want to rent a motorbike? Sure, here are your options. Heading to Si Phan Don next? Got it, you'd want this minivan at this time." Best of all, she speaks English fluently (not a common occurrence in Laos at all).
The rest of the hostel was excellent as well. Beds were extremely clean. Sockets to charge your phone right next to the bed. The shared bathrooms were cleaned frequently throughout the day. Bedrooms were quiet and kept that way. The air-conditioning was powerfully cold. All of this for US$8 (LAK 175k) a night! Awesome.

I enjoyed that everything was in walking distance.
I enjoyed that everything was in walking distance. The local people are very nice and helpful. The local food was delicious, and the environment was a relaxing atmosphere. If you get lost any local would help you with directions or even take you to your destination. Pakse had many Buddhist monuments that you can walk into and explore and take pictures. Wonderful little city would like to come again.

I loved the zipline over the Tad Fane Waterfall.
I loved the zipline over the Tad Fane Waterfall. It was definitely worth the money. The waterfalls are a bit far away from each other on the loop. The sunset from the Buddha on the hill or from the side of the Mekong river is just magical.

Pakse is probably one of the most beautiful places with really incredible people.
We rented a bike, it was safe for us there are not many cars on the road and the ones on scooter drive safely. We rented the scooter via the hotel, drove the waterfalls and all around Paske.The have a great market, really good . restaurants
