I liked the hotel. The room is large, everything is clean, breakfast is normal. There are problems with electricity, like everywhere else, but the hotel has solar panels and a generator. Not very good wifi. The staff is wonderful - they organized boat and car excursions to Pindaya and helped us buy bus tickets to Bagan. After visiting this hotel, I now think that the main wealth of Myanmar is the people of this country.

The property is beautifully furnished with attractive features throughout. The room was a very good size for a single and excellent value . The breakfast is almost a banquet. Onward travel and sightseeing trips can be booked directly with the hotel . As there is so much to see on the lake I took 2 trips , it’s an amazing place , full of daily activity from fishermen casting there nets to people tending the floating gardens and given the current political situation there are very few tourists . Their are no security issues in the area ,it is open and waiting to be discovered . The town has many hotels standing empty , when the situation improves you are likely to regret not having visited when Inle lake was at its purist .

Featuring wooden Myanmar-style villas overlooking the lake, Villa Inle Resort & Spa is located in the eastern fringe of Inle Lake near the village of Maing Tauk. I had such a lovely time there. The facilities are first rate and the staff is amazing. Everyone was so nice and so helpful. They put every effort into doing whatever was necessary to make my stay perfect. I was there kind of off season, so the spa was closed, but I wanted services, so they had someone come in for me. I had an amazing massage. The room was gorgeous, the bed was so comfortable, and I loved the shower. Breakfast was quite yummy and they had rooms service for other meals also. The boatman they had for my lake tour really took me all over the lake. The prices were reasonable, so I could relax and just enjoy the lovely place and not stress about anything.
