Restaurants, either local or foreign, are good; Food, either Cantonese or Portugese are delicious! Casinos are exciting, bright and clean. In particular, I like the French style cafe restaurant on the ground floor of Star World Casino. A good place for relax between casinos and window shoppings.
Relax city, we can have some fine dining at different area. Portugal food, traditional food, some decoration in the restaurant. some beautiful church and great architecture, let people enjoy some days in Macau!
Aside from gambling and shopping the macau tower and the temple are must sees. There are a few museums most are free or very cheap. Buses are easy to use and a fixed price, taxis are easy to pick up. Ritz Carlton cafe is worth a visit
Macao is a very interesting mix of cultures and languages. A once Portuguese colony, all that remains from those times is the language in signposts and administrative services and the colonial architecture and Portuguese food amidst Chinese food and habits. There is a huge contrast between the casinos and resorts areas and Macao beaches. All are worth visiting and experiencing.
Old Macau is a beautiful reminant of the old Portugese Colony. New Macau is bright, loud and vibrant with Casinos. However, beyond visiting historical sites in old Macau and seeing pretty Casinos in new Macau there is nothing much to do. Food is generally overpriced and not necessarily tasting good. If you are not into gambling then you may run out of activities. However, for a short visit I would say it's worth the visit. At most you need 2 days to finish seeing the whole place.
start at the old Macau and wonder at the streets and eateries and stay in Taipa casinos for a modern touch. public buses and Taxis are affordable. from ferry terminal there are free shuttle services to hotels and back to feery terminals.
