Honestly there is nothing that we didn't like during our stay... The room was above and beyond amazing... The view out of this world, the room was at times too comfortable. The breakfast was finger licking good, the spa like a pillow and everything exceeded our expectations. As for the studio city itself, it was like the room ... In one word - amazing. If given the choice I would book the entire trip again in this hotel and would recommend this hotel without skipping the beat.

The good location from the ferry terminal - takes 5 minutes to get on foot with 2 pieces of luggage (with escalators and lifts). The staff made good hospitality. The room was quite spacious with beautiful view in the harbour. Special words needs the huge bath.

The free hotel shuttles were incredibly convenient: This is expected for the area, but still a big plus for getting around easily. We also booked a room with the Eiffel Tower view, and waking up to that sight was genuinely delightful. A few thoughtful touches made the stay feel extra special. The turndown service was an unexpected surprise, and we absolutely loved the signature Conrad teddy bears. The staff also paid attention to the tiniest details: they neatly tied up our messy charging cables and even noticed we were two women traveling together, and provided “Her” slippers instead of “His”. Small gestures, but they really made us feel cared for.

The staff were all excellent! So much grateful because the environment itself from the lobby, the cafe up to the room was totally awesome. A mom like me who has a child with special needs, sometimes I tend to asked like heating up the milk since he has a difficulty eating, and yet the staff helped me a lot which I was so much grateful. It was indeed a safe environment for him since we do not want some any chaos or too much crowd unlike with some hotels. They are all helpful and I can recommend this hotel so much.

Outstanding, without any doubt this is the best hotel we've ever stayed at. It's in a great location, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to help us with any queries we had. The character of the hotel is unique, historic and charming. It has great views from the rooftop open air bar, the rooms are all immaculately decorated to fit the background of the hotel, soundproofed and with really comfortable beds. This hotel has been renovated literally from top to bottom recently and the owner personally supervised all the work and he has really put his heart into it. If you are thinking of staying at one of the nearby casinos, don't, this hotel and the location is far superior. We would definitely recommend this hotel over any other.

FAQs about hotels in Macau

Developing on History

Macau is the true east meets west philosophy. Buddhist temples coexist with Baroque churches, peaceful oriental parks are overshadowed by mega-casinos and cobblestone streets are filled with rickshaws.

Hong Kong’s neighbour across the Pearl River strait consists of the mainland that borders the People's Republic of China and 2 major islands joined by the Cotai Strip. Coloane island is a natural wonderland with its mountains and beaches, whereas Taipa includes Macau International Airport and residential suburbs.

The prominent Macau Tower dominates the skyline of this former Portuguese colony and denotes the coming of age of modern-day Macau. It has set the stage for an economic boom with Vegas-style casinos lining the Macau Peninsula waterfront.

Historic sites and cuisine are important factors in this shining tourism star of China. St. Paul’s Cathedral was the largest Catholic church in Asia at the time with its ruins dating back to the 16th century. The fusion of Mediterranean flavours and traditional Chinese cooking methods makes eating out in the capital an unforgettable experience.

With an old colonial atmosphere, mixing the portuguese and chinese influences, Macau is huge different from nearby Hong Kong. Of course you have all the Las Vegas vibe or even, closing the eyes, Venice and Paris. Very good restaurants either expensive or rather cheap

Macau is very small.

Macau is very small. But that is in my opinion it's biggest strenght. You are well able to see all the important places in a day or two. Very beautiful and interesting history can be seen in "old Macau" island. Definitelly worth it to check out the Cotai Strip, the Las Vegas of the East. To me the people felt very nice. The whole place including the places where majority of people lived were spotless and I felt incredibly safe a big contrast to Western Europe where I work. The only thing I did not like was: I wanted to visit a local nightclub but everytime I followed the maps I came to a casino. The only club I found was "adult" oriented. Do people not party in Macau? Do they just test their luck?

you have the opportunity to experience three different types of environment. The Mainland part, which feels run down and was rather overcrowded with Mainland tourists. This is where you will find most of the historical aspects of Macao. Taipa which feels better in the sense that it feels more modern and is the place to live if you are doing better in life Coloane is the best place to escape the crowds and has a more village-type feel.

I have not been to Macao for some time.

I have not been to Macao for some time. I would say that there are too many visitors from China in the centre of Macao i.e. like in other countries e.g. Barcelona, Paris etc. Therefore, it is better to go to a place like the Pousada de Coloane if you want to escape the crowds and have a quiet, restful holiday. There is also another very nice restaurant along the beach just a short walk from the Pousada and the food is quite good there.

If you want to gamble, and you can afford the table minimums in that town, go. If you're in Hong Kong for 5 nights, take the ferry over. The Portuguese influence is fascination -- but it's a small place. One or maybe two nights is all you need.

What more can I say? We went to Macau for the Grand Prix weekend and couldn't have been any happier with our choice. We were able to walk to the hotel from the ferry terminal and the hotel itself was amazing; so beautifully appointed and spacious. The pool was awesome and the cafe next to the lobby offered a cheaper food option for when we were on the run. Around a half hour walk to Macau Tower, fifteen to the pit straight entry or ferry terminal and so many other sights to see nearbye.

Compared to other hotels in Macau, it may not be particularly luxurious, but it features a spacious resort-style pool and a complimentary playroom for kids — amenities that are especially appreciated by families. The breakfast selection is limited and the taste is just average, but considering the price, the overall value for money is quite good.
