FAQs about hotels in Bangkok

Something for Everyone in Bangkok

Bangkok never sleeps, or so you might think as you fly into Suvarnabhumi International Airport. From luxurious mega malls like MBK and Siam Discovery in Siam Square to the famous Khao San Road in the Banglamphu district, this hard working city is packed with commerce, fiery food and soothing temples.

Catch a boat up river on the Chao Phraya Express or discover different neighbourhoods on the blissfully air-conditioned BTS Skytrain. A taxi or exhilarating tuk-tuk ride is never far away from the big attractions, which include Chinatown, Jim Thompson House and the floating markets at Damnoen Saduak.

To step out of the frenetic energy of street food stalls, amulet markets and the sizzling temperatures, discover an oasis of calm in one of the many Buddhist temples. Be awed by the majesty of the Grand Palace and marvel at the world’s longest reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. While you’re there why not relax even more with a traditional Thai massage?

From the sky-scraping luxury hotels with world famous rooftop bars to a cheap hostel bed in the centre of town, Booking.com will help you explore all Bangkok has to offer.

The royal palace is lovely and it was nice to get some warm weather in the middle of winter. This is a lively city with some great food. However, the traffic is very busy. Give lots of time to get to places as it will often take longer than you think. You need to use the bathroom before you enter the Grand Palace grounds there are none inside. Bring water also. Be careful of restaurant deals with free flow included. They sometimes water down the drinks. If you are going for New Year's Eve, ensure you don't travel far from your hotel as transport is very difficult to get after midnight on that evening.

I recently had the chance to explore Bangkok, and it was an experience that left me both awed and humbled. The city, with its blend of traditional and modern, has a unique charm that's hard to find elsewhere. Visiting the temples was a highlight of my trip. Places like Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Arun aren't just tourist spots; they're serene havens where time seems to stand still. The intricate artwork and peaceful ambiance of these temples provided a much-needed respite from the city's fast pace. The food in Bangkok is another story altogether. I indulged in everything from street-side pad Thai to exquisite Thai fusion dishes at fancier establishments. Each meal was a journey through flavors and spices, showcasing the city's rich culinary heritage. Navigating Bangkok turned out to be an adventure of its own. The BTS Skytrain and MRT were lifesavers, whisking me across the city with ease. And of course, no trip to Bangkok is complete without a tuk-tuk ride; it's chaotic but an absolute must for the full experience. That said, there were a few things I learned to watch out for. Crowded places can be hotspots for pickpockets, so keeping an eye on personal belongings is crucial. Also, agreeing on tuk-tuk fares beforehand saved me from a few overcharging incidents. And if you're visiting during the monsoon season, be ready for sudden showers that can come out of nowhere. In all, my time in Bangkok was filled with moments of wonder, delicious eats, and a few learning curves. It's a city that teaches you as much as it entertains you, and I can't wait to go back.

Bangkok has a lot to offer if you are willing to move about the bustling city. My stay here was too short for me to experience the city fully. What was a nice surprise for me was the art scene. I had a great experience at BACC and MOCA. I would highly recommend art lovers to check out these galleries. It was a pleasant surprise. Apart from that, i did not have sufficient time to experience the night life as one should. I did however get a chance to have dinner and drinks at Cielo Sky Bar. It had a lovely view, and the food was decent for the prices. Bangkok is definitely a city worth coming back to and I plan too soon, but with more time. It's a great city to also meet a mix of locals, foreigners and expats. If you wish to meet more people and make meaningful connections, Bangkok would be a great option. I'd highly recommend people to pay the city a visit, provided you enjoy the hustle and bustle of city life.

After straying at numerous hotels in Bangkok and Thailand in general, this is by far one of the best. The staff are amazing - friendly and helpful at all times. The rooms are very modern with super comfy beds and decor. The location is amazing too, you are right next to the BTS and within walking distance of the malls and great places to eat. The facilities are great with a shared space for you to work, cook and a socialise. I'll definitely be coming back next time I am in Bangkok. Thanks for a great stay!

This property has a great walking location which is closest to Phayathai BTS station, Korean night vibe restaurant , 7-11and Pratunam area. The staff are friendly. The road to the hotel is at quiet area but safe enough to walk at night but not recommend to walk alone at late night. There is free pick up and shuttle service from and to Phayathai BTS station I found it really convenience to use the service. I was on 8th floor and I miss enjoying the night view of calm but chaotic of Bangkok city from my room.

very small quiet hotel on small quiet street but located very close to busy streets with all infrastructure and shopping area. hotel is managed very effectively - you have everything in the room (electric tea pot, refrigerator and even flat iron), administrator (or owner) is constantly online so you can solve any question. maybe room is not big in terms of square meters, but its space used very effectively. price is reasonable. if i visit Bangkok again i will stay here again

Room comes with large refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, sink, and even some dishes to use. Also provides a free tuk tuk shuttle to the nearest train station. Washers available on each floor for 30 baht. Rooms are an amazing value for staying in Bangkok at a low price with great ammenities. Location is in a less touristy/nightlife area, but close to train station (10 minute walk or free hotel shuttle), which is perfect. Highly recommend.

The property was very much as expected. The room which we were allotted, AC was not working, but the staff allotted us another room which was great. Location is at the city center, but apparently not good enough if you looking to go in and out of the city multiple times, for ex pattaya / airport/ safari world. The traffic was really bad. Better to take hotel near airport and make a day tour to bangkok to avoid multiple passing through traffic

The Junior Suite was fabulous, and impeccably decorated and furnished. The 17th floor room had a commanding view of downtown Bangkok and was very quiet. One of the nicest hotels in which I've stayed. The location was excellent, and within walking distance of the subway, skytrain, restaurants (Mango Tree was amazing - 4 minute walk from hotel), and other attractions. What a beautiful facility, and very well managed!

Having now stayed at The Centre Point, Sukhumvit on a number of occasions, so much so that we now call it our home from home in Bangkok. We find the hotel to not only be convenient in all aspects of location etc. but also very fairly priced in comparison to other similar hotels. Exhalent sleeping arrangement for two adults and a three year old child. Without doubt we will be rebooking on our next trip to Bangkok.

Very comfortable bed Clean Location is good (particularly if you like all male massage parlours) but there's plenty of well located hotels in Bangkok. Proximity to Patpong Market is hardly an asset as this is one of the worst markets we visited in Thailand (obviously not the hotels fault). Sala Daeng BTS 5 mins walk and Silom metro 8 mins. Cut fruit left in fridge after cleaning was a nice touch.
