Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok, The Peninsula Bangkok - SHA Extra Plus and Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok - SHA Extra Plus Certified have received great reviews from travellers in Bangkok regarding the views from their hotel rooms.
The view of the city from the hotel was incredible!!! The foods and buffet at the hotel are really taste good. The room is really nice and clean to stay in while you’re on a trip. It feel lke you’re living at home. Overall, in my opion I think the hotel is really a good place to stay. RECOMMANDED!! 5/5
You can go near the city about 60km to tigers farm to feed and play and go for an elephant ride. The city has nice malls and you must visit the Baiyoke sky Hotel Tower2 for a great view and dinner. And don't miss the temples! The streets are very crowded! On the sidewalk everybody sells something including food with heavy smell!
Bangkok is fantastic city of contrasts. You can see all the colours of the social specter. Amazing night life, street food on every corner, high end expensive buildings right next to falling apart slums. This city definitely is not for everyone, but the one who likes it, would love it. Traffic jams are for me most annoying, but in general transportation for such a big city is very well organized and easy to use. My advice is trying to stay close to BTS when possible. Other than that uber works just fine, or tuk tuks :). But for tuk tuk negotiation about price is mandatory because they will always try to ask for more money. Best way is to ask about realistic prices in a hotel and when negotiating stick to that. For me the biggest impression was food on the street or in markets. You could eat for something around 3 euros. My advice is to eat fresh fruit on the street because it is supe cheap.
Bangkok this time was very amiable and pleasant but expensive then otherwise. Post-Covid aftermath was visible in bits and parts. Some major Hotels were closed, Taxis and Tuk-Tuks were charging enormously, tourists were visible but not as much as it usually. City was far less crowded. Traffic jams were there but only in certain parts at certain times. The Skytrain and Metro were comfortable to ride on with less crowding. Its an enjoyable city still albeit the prices, especially the food. Late night activities that Bangkok is famous for is pretty much dead, with some spots being active. The usual spots are advised not to visit because its dangerous. Malls are open and gaining footfalls - not sure how the sales are didn't seem to be brisk. But that didn't dampen the prices. I would still recommend a visit to the country for sometime to come. Hotels can still be got at a bargain, and food you can always find whatever suits your pocket. Rest is all upon your spending power.
After 15 or so trips to Thailand, I cannot imagine any other destination in the country that would not also be combined with days in Bangkok. I realize big cities are not everyone's go-to choice, but they are where I feel most at home, and for a city of 9 million+ people, Bangkok could not be more manageable.
A great city with a weird mix culture and great night life something for everyone ! Night cruise on the River was Very special. Loved China town and iconsiam was great for a bit of retail therapy on our last day
Our room was massive, very clean, modern and equipped with everything you would need. It was more like an apartment than a hotel room (kitchenette, utensils, fridge, kettle, etc) Very large and comfy bed, smart TV, great AirCon, very good Wifi but best of all was the very large balcony we had (view of the city) Nice Staff, good gym and lovely pool area. You are also right next to the Skytrain and Riverside, for ferries. This was one of the best hotels we stayed at in Bangkok and will defiantly return to.
Excellent location about 5min walk to the Asok train station which connects you to the rest of Bangkok. I also got the train to and from the Airport which took about an hour. 7/11 next the hotel and a large supermarket just down the road. The supermarket is 24/7 very convenient. I ended up coming back to this hotel after travelling around North Thailand before getting my flight back to UK. Staff were very helpful. Recommended.
I liked the style of this new hotel the layout of the bar and restaurant was great and it seemed like a lot of locals were having lunch/dinner in the hotel. The pool area was just ok and the rooms were small but modern and everything I would need for a city break. My wife was less impressed with the size of the room given the price. However having stayed in other areas of Bangkok I know you can get better for the money.
Having now stayed at The Centre Point, Sukhumvit on a number of occasions, so much so that we now call it our home from home in Bangkok. We find the hotel to not only be convenient in all aspects of location etc. but also very fairly priced in comparison to other similar hotels. Exhalent sleeping arrangement for two adults and a three year old child. Without doubt we will be rebooking on our next trip to Bangkok.
Very nice stay. Basic room for price but didnt need anything more. Helpful staff. You can get busses around bangkok for much much cheaper than the taxis, ask at reception and they told us where to catch the bus. Breakfast was good. Excellent location by koh san road but didnt hear the noise at all. (Can get bus from airport to koh san road which is much cheaper than taxi) then a 2-3 min walk to hotel!
Nice modern and newly decorated hotel, not large but offering most you’ll want for a stay at good price. Good location as it’s close to both old and new areas of Bangkok. The room is also good but with one major management mistake (please read below). The bed is very comfortable with soft pillows and clean sheets. The air conditioner and water heating system work well.
I have stayed at over a dozen 4 and 5 start hotels and resorts in Bangkok and this one was in the definitely in the top 3 over the last 13 years. The location, the amenities, the restaurants, the view and service at the executive lounge, the friendly staff and fantastic view puts it at the top of the list. Highly recommended and will definitely come again!
Staff at the hotel was helpful and professional, they made sure everything was taken care of, airport transfer and taxis are way cheaper and with meter on through them. Location is a bit hidden, but quite ok, might seem a bit shady at first, but, hey, it’s Bangkok. For the price, good hotel, good breakfast (considering that you are in south east Asia).
Really nice and comfortable hotel. The service was just perfect, and really unexpected for this price and for Thailand. Everyone speak good English and always available to help. We will definitely keep this hotel in our favorites and book it everytime we come back to Bangkok. The + is the rooftop, not well advertised on booking.com with its pool.
- The staff did an excellent job and was as polite, professional and nice as humanly possible; - the location is excellent for a stay in Bangkok, very easy connection to airport and close to city centre places; - the roof-top pool is a very nice touch, expecially with that view; - hotel restaurant is of good quality also for lunch and dinner
Everything. One of the best hotels in Bangkok. Great price. The staff is extraordinary! They read every wish from your lips. Great location. Free shuttle boat to the pier and Asiatique night market via Anantara Hotel. One of the greatest pools and bars I have seen so far. Breathtaking view from there!
Hotel has a fab location slap bang in middle of Khan san road . 1000 baht deposit to be paid upon arrival and no problems having it returned on last day. On site exchange office and a 7/11 right next door so that is convenient. Would stay here again as great for location and price
I love that there weren’t a lot of people except me and my friends at the lobby during check in and check out. I thought the place was quite exclusive. The rooms were better than many 3-4 star hotels in Bangkok, and it was more than worth the cost. The staffs were friendly!
The hotel location is just next to the train station which make it easy for you to go around Bangkok. The staff are nice and helpful. Room is always clean and got everything you need. Highly recommend for those who need a comfortable place to stay in the friendly prices.
The hotel was brilliant and i will use this hotel when i am in that part of Bangkok again. All the staff very friendly and nothing is to much trouble for them. Room was immaculate and clean. Breakfast was very nice with huge selection and the prices are reasonable.
really good hotel for a budget price in the best part of Bangkok. for a normal stay it’s perfect. for enter via the Thailandpass we cannot recommend. it was sooo much more expensive then every other package with pcr Test and Transport. free drinking water
Wonderful 5-star hotel at an extremely reasonable price. The river dock and boat service make transportation to any place else on the river fast and pleasant for places not on the river the adjacent SkyTrain station helps avoid Bangkok traffic too
After having some bad experiences with Bangkok hotels, glad to say this delivered. No deceptive advertising, pool and gym both great and rooms clean, no scams from the staff.
Great new hotel, 10 minutes from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport.
This hotel is exceptional! Although a bit dated, the views from the room and roof are breathtaking. Breakfast at the 81st floor is quite an experience. Also the quality of the breakfast is best I've seen in Thailand - everything you could wish for, they got. Nice swimming pool too. We were there for my wife's birthday, we were greeted by decorated room and a cake. Huge thanks! Absolutely recommend!
