The view of the city from the hotel was incredible!!! The foods and buffet at the hotel are really taste good. The room is really nice and clean to stay in while you’re on a trip. It feel lke you’re living at home. Overall, in my opion I think the hotel is really a good place to stay. RECOMMANDED!! 5/5
You can go near the city about 60km to tigers farm to feed and play and go for an elephant ride. The city has nice malls and you must visit the Baiyoke sky Hotel Tower2 for a great view and dinner. And don't miss the temples! The streets are very crowded! On the sidewalk everybody sells something including food with heavy smell!
Bangkok is fantastic city of contrasts. You can see all the colours of the social specter. Amazing night life, street food on every corner, high end expensive buildings right next to falling apart slums. This city definitely is not for everyone, but the one who likes it, would love it. Traffic jams are for me most annoying, but in general transportation for such a big city is very well organized and easy to use. My advice is trying to stay close to BTS when possible. Other than that uber works just fine, or tuk tuks :). But for tuk tuk negotiation about price is mandatory because they will always try to ask for more money. Best way is to ask about realistic prices in a hotel and when negotiating stick to that. For me the biggest impression was food on the street or in markets. You could eat for something around 3 euros. My advice is to eat fresh fruit on the street because it is supe cheap.
Bangkok this time was very amiable and pleasant but expensive then otherwise. Post-Covid aftermath was visible in bits and parts. Some major Hotels were closed, Taxis and Tuk-Tuks were charging enormously, tourists were visible but not as much as it usually. City was far less crowded. Traffic jams were there but only in certain parts at certain times. The Skytrain and Metro were comfortable to ride on with less crowding. Its an enjoyable city still albeit the prices, especially the food. Late night activities that Bangkok is famous for is pretty much dead, with some spots being active. The usual spots are advised not to visit because its dangerous. Malls are open and gaining footfalls - not sure how the sales are didn't seem to be brisk. But that didn't dampen the prices. I would still recommend a visit to the country for sometime to come. Hotels can still be got at a bargain, and food you can always find whatever suits your pocket. Rest is all upon your spending power.
After 15 or so trips to Thailand, I cannot imagine any other destination in the country that would not also be combined with days in Bangkok. I realize big cities are not everyone's go-to choice, but they are where I feel most at home, and for a city of 9 million+ people, Bangkok could not be more manageable.
A great city with a weird mix culture and great night life something for everyone ! Night cruise on the River was Very special. Loved China town and iconsiam was great for a bit of retail therapy on our last day
Thonburi, Bangkok
Location! I love it to be opposite side of the river, being not in the busy area but fronting the river, giving me a touch of resort feeling at the capital of Thailand. I can take the hotel complimentary ferry shuttle to BTS station, helping me to skip all the usual annoying traffic of Bangkok. Very enjoyable stay, very reasonable price and will definitely consider to come back again. Oh by the way, there is a little cosy Thai cuisine call Basil right opposite to the hotel, Michelin awarded at amazingly cheap price!
Amazing luxury boutigue hotel with a great price. The hotel has excellent location, quiet street with a short walk to the busy Khaosan Rd. Top comfortable huge queen bed with a hard matterace as we like, softes bedlinen in the world! Very clean room, large bathroom, balcony for a morning Cafe, amazing clean pool, good coctails and very nice breakfast. Very tasty carrot and peas soup. Great outside area to chill in the evening. Very nice welcoming staff. This will be one of the best hotels in Bangkok soon!
I had a one-night transit in Bangkok, and I booked a room to check out on the 5th of August through your website. I chose to pay for the option of a room with a shuttle as mentioned on your website, but I didn't find a shuttle to take me from and to the airport. I contacted the hotel from the airport, and they assured me that they didn't have such a service. So, how did you make me choose this option with the shuttle, and this service doesn't exist?
Best room I stayed in in Bangkok, clean and spacious, comfy bed, balcony, fridge, amazing shower with great water pressure (a luxury in budget hotels I’ve found in Thailand). Location is great, close enough to all the backpacker festivities and food however in a quiet street where you can still walk around and see people just doing their daily things. Amazing quality room, bathroom and location for the price we paid. We also had a great view of the river!
Hotel is excellent value for money. I dare anyone to find another hotel thay gives a large room and is literally a minute's walk from the Ratchaprarop ARL station and a stone's throw from the vibrant Pratunam shopping district. We had a balcony with a view, not walled up like in the other rooms. Free bottled water, coffee, biscuits, and noodles provided during our stay. I will certainly book PR Place Hotel again the next time I'm in Bangkok.
The rooftop pool bar was BEAUTIFUL!!!! That alone is why you should stay here! INCREDIBLE views of Bangkok with a nice pool and a good bar not overpriced like the rest of the skybars in Bangkok!! The room was nice, cool decor, nice TV with HD channels! Room service with some good food! Location is unbeatable! And although its in a busy tourist area, the hotel itself is surprisingly quiet! Very relaxing. I will definately be back!
Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit is really an awesome place to stay. The hotel may be a little old as compared to the newer boutique and fashionable hotels that are Instagram-worthy, but PBGS exudes a class which the newer competitors would not be able to match. The room was large and spacious and very comfortable. Location-wise, it is not too bad as well, it helps that Terminal 21 is simply just across the road from it.
Professional and friendly staff ready to assist in whatever I needed including calling taxis and estimating times to get to places from the hotel at different times of day. Clean and comfortable room, pool upstairs with a bar, restaurant downstairs and a tour booking office with a very friendly and helpful guy booking the tours. It's also quiet for Bangkok (double glazed windows?) and near the river.
Very nice stay. Basic room for price but didnt need anything more. Helpful staff. You can get busses around bangkok for much much cheaper than the taxis, ask at reception and they told us where to catch the bus. Breakfast was good. Excellent location by koh san road but didnt hear the noise at all. (Can get bus from airport to koh san road which is much cheaper than taxi) then a 2-3 min walk to hotel!
- The staff did an excellent job and was as polite, professional and nice as humanly possible; - the location is excellent for a stay in Bangkok, very easy connection to airport and close to city centre places; - the roof-top pool is a very nice touch, expecially with that view; - hotel restaurant is of good quality also for lunch and dinner
Really nice hotel ! Paid half the price I usually pay when I'm in Bangkok ! Be sure to stay here again ! Tom at reception was so nice at check in ! And was really helpful with everything ! Stuff like this makes our stay so much better ! So a big thanks to Tom for been a gentleman !
The hotel location is just next to the train station which make it easy for you to go around Bangkok. The staff are nice and helpful. Room is always clean and got everything you need. Highly recommend for those who need a comfortable place to stay in the friendly prices.
I booked two rooms for me and my friend. The rooms were better than most 3-4 star hotels in Bangkok. For the cost, it was definitely worth it. The toilet bow was automatic (electronically operated). The staffs were friendly and the place was quiet.
For a mid priced hotel the location was good: a reasonable connection from the airport by trains - which I wanted as Bangkok's traffic is often bad. Right in Patpog, and a few mins taxi (or 30 mins walking) from some of the main shops.
The Hotel is near to BTS, so it is easy to get everywhere in Bangkok. The employees were really friendly and helped me directly when i had a Problem. The room was really big, so the price for one night is cheap compared to other Hotels.
We stayed only for one night (transfer in Bangkok). Clean room, good breakfast, nearly to Khaosan Road but you can not hear any loud noises. Hotel can manage you the taxi to airport (very good price, included taxes for highway)
Perfect as always. 04/12. I guess UHG have to issue for me a member card due to my weekly weekends at UHG hotels in Bangkok. :)
We love the welcome extended and lovely settings in the room upon arrival. Location is good. Few minutes walk to Ratchaprarop BTS and easy to hail a cab outside the hotel. The breakfast spread is also considerably good and the outdoor dining at 81st floor offers beautiful view of Bangkok is a plus point.
Two-bedroom suite with river view came with great value price. The service was professional. There’s also a nice Thai-Chinese porridge dinner place just across the street.
Nice place and view Wat Arun. The Staff very friendly and good service till Security was nice too. We were happy to be here and pretty recommend to visit this place and also we will come back again and again
