Pattaya has something for everybody from good beaches and watersports to world class hotels and simple rooms. You can do Pattaya on any budget you want it is more expensive now than it used to be but it is definitely still cheaper than Europe
Thai people welcome tourists the place is safe but you must respect the royal family and their religion not a lot to ask.
Street food is very cheap and everywhere and you can get good food for a couple of pounds for less than £20 you can do a lunchtime buffet at the Hilton. All tastes and budgets are catered for.
A beer will set you back £1.50 and up depending where you drink again all budgets are catered for.
Taxi from Bangkok to pattaya is about 90minutes and will cost about £30 so again cheap. If you need time outside of pattaya you can visit several different islands or smaller resorts that are close by.

This was my fourth trip to Pattaya and I can't see me wanting to go anywhere else in the future. It has everything you could want. There is so much nightlife and restaurants to explore it would take years to discover it all and places change so quickly I don't think you could ever explore it all. Of course Pattaya is not for everyone but you just have to visit to find out for yourself if its for you. I have found Pattaya to be one of the safest places to travel and walk around after dark but be careful walking on the roads and keep your wits about you re. the traffic.

Pattaya Central is a bustling with peoples and activities.
Pattaya Central is a bustling with peoples and activities. Although you may need to get used to the traffic condition and side walk vendors.
However, there are some issues with heavy rains causing flash floods, the situation is still within expectation.
That's why Pattaya is so lively.

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Pattaya Central
The hotel has three buildings, just off the main beach road, with slightly different names. Their main building ( no 1 ) is called 'Sea Me Spring Hotel' and is noticeably spacious, whether referring to the reception hall or to the bedrooms. It is possible to purchase breakfast in the large reception lobby. A stay in such surroundings for the price asked is value for money. Pattaya´s Walking Street is only twenty minutes walking distance away.
The Staff at Mera Mare was very Professional, Polite,Friendly always greated with a smile. The hotel was clean modern and very pleasant, location was perfect for the beech and walking street. Local for bhat bus, 8 mins to soi Buakhao by taxi and very cheap 50bht but I always gave 100bht. Guests are very welcome just need ID its for your safety.
Staff and travellers made this such a great stay. Omelettes for breakfast were yummy. It’s a big place and a short walk to the beach and wonderful shopping mall / hair salon. 30 mins to the walking street so take a Grab bike or taxi as cheap and easy if you want the crazy nightlife.
Location couldn't be better next door to Hilton Hotel, with a gate out onto beach road , staff are very helpful and professional, the rooms are spacious, with everything you need for a good stay, even a washing machine, cleaned every two days and good views also.
Great Location: The hotel was conveniently located near major attractions, beach road, restaurants, and public transportation, making it easy to explore the area.
