Langham Place Guangzhou

Hotel in Hai Zhu, Guangzhou

The gorgeous Guangzhou Langham Hotel is just a 2-minute walk from Pazhou International Exhibition Centre. We stayed in an executive room on the 22nd floor, views were great, the executive drinks and nibbles were great. Best of all was the staff (Michelle, Kelvin!! can't remember the others), they were fantastic. Absolutely loved the experience. We would go back and just stay the whole time in the hotel.

Leeden Hotel Guangzhou

Hotel in Tian He, Guangzhou

Providing a comfortable setting for rest and relax, Leeden Hotel is located in Guangzhou, about a 5-minute walk from Zhujiang New Town Subway Station. It has free internet and an indoor pool. Just a short walk from Zhujiang New Town MTR (exit A2), the Leeden Hotel is well located within Guangzhou. From the very start, the location of the hotel set up what was to be a very enjoyable visit. Upon check-in, my room wasn't available, so I was upgraded to a suite (which I'm sure was a couple tiers above the room I actually booked!). This was a seamless process, and Reception ensured my room was provided in a swift manner. Once I got to the room, I found it had everything I needed, from slippers to robes - and even a bathtub with an ample supply of bath salts. My experience with hotels in China has been none less than amazing, and the Leeden may just be my best stay. I will most certainly be looking to stay at the Leeden the next time I visit Guangzhou.

China Hotel

Hotel in Yue Xiu, Guangzhou

Surrounded by the greenery of the Liuhua Lake and Yuexiu Parks, China Hotel is a 15-minute walk from Guangzhou Jinhan Exhibition Centre. It features a 24-hour fitness centre, outdoor pool and spa. I had a room on the executive floor so was able to use the executive lounge. The lounge was great & the staff were extremely accomodating. The quality of the food down in Food Street was excellent, we ate there 3 nights in a row & I would recommend both the bbq duck & the lobster.

FAQs about hotels in Guangzhou

The City That Has It All

Historically known as Canton and China’s third largest city, Guangzhou is the birthplace of the most popular type of Chinese cuisine with iconic wonton soup and dim-sum. It boasts an impressive skyline, some of the oldest temples in the country and crowded markets with everything from tea to hi-tech electronics.

The busy city centre mesmerises with its futuristic architecture and beautifully lit skyscrapers but just a short trip away you can find yourself in the quiet haven of Nansha Wetland, a bird sanctuary. Rejuvenated with new energy you can then admire the traditional Cantonese architecture of Xiguan Residence, once occupied by the upper class.

One of the city’s most popular attractions, the Liurong Temple is an absolute must-see, dating back to the 6th century and featuring a 17-storey high pagoda. Make sure you don’t miss traditional buildings near Yide Road as they’re slowly being removed from the map due to the city’s rapid growth.

From a 1000-year-old lake garden, to plenty of theme parks, relaxing rolling hills and mountains, Guangzhou seems to indeed have it all! Add impressive street markets and shopping centres and you’re up for a fascinating ride.

Guangzhou Airport is a convenient metro or taxi ride away and Booking.com provides over 390 different accommodation options for you to choose from.
