Verde Ámbar Departamento provides accommodation situated in Palenque, 3.6 km from Aluxes EcoPark & Zoo and 20 km from Misol-Ha Waterfalls. Nice and safe residential neighborhood. Never had to wait long for the minibus into town and there were always plenty of taxis so it was easy to get around. A taxi into own was 30-40mxn, and the local minibus was 15mxn. When we wanted to visit the ruins we just hailed a cab and that trip cost us 250mxn one way. Several street food options open for dinner but nothing in the middle of the day. However, there were several local small shops around, and the apartment is located next to the local butcher. The apartment was nice, with nice kitchen appliances, we had enough space for a couple of laptops and the internet was reliable.
