Located in Mulu, Mulu Homestay provides accommodation with seating area. The property features mountain and river views. The homestay has family rooms. At the homestay, all units come with a desk. The location of this homestay is the best part about it. It's a 2 minute walk from the park entrance while still giving you the feel of being outside of the park. They kept power on the whole time so we could still charge things throughout the day and keep the fans on all night. At nights the rooms cooled down and were comfortable. The bathrooms were shared but we were the only people here so it felt private.

Truly homestay, perfect host (Dina), friendly and helped us to plan all activities in Mulu, so they make sense in our itinerary. Breakfast was very nice (we even had a mangos from garden behind the house), you can order a dinner which was also tasty. Boiled water for drinking available. We were invited to a celebration in local school one evening and it was very nice and interesting experience. We can definitely recommend this homestay if you want a personal approach :-)

It must be so hard to run a hotel in the middle of the jungle and they do such a great job! The transfer to/from the park works great, just let the staff/park security know. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is amazing. We refilled our water bottles in the restaurant. Make sure you book trips in the park in advance! You won't be able to book much once you arrive.

Rooms are large with aircons and private bathrooms. It is across the river from Marriott, and five minutes by car from the airport and the national park. They will drive you to the national park for a small fee (5 myr per person).
