Hotels near Pangkor Airport (PKG), Pangkor

12 minutes drive from Pangkor Jetty, the road is very narrow and pink taxis drive fast and dangerously. The beach was crowded with boats, jet skis, and garbage due to the nearby shops. We paid RM200 for one boat to go island hopping and snorkeling, but it wasn't worth it. There were too many rocks, the water was green, and we could barely see any fish or coral. The snorkeling equipment provided is in very bad shape. It was also very dangerous to swim because of the boats and jet skis constantly moving around the beach dropping and pick up tourist. There is a fire show at night which was great and air couch for rent which show RM5 each but was charged RM10 each because there is a fire show, false advertisement so don't be fooled. The place was also crowded with motorcycle.

Lovely quaint seaside town with lots of places to eat. Some outlets for shopping if you are into duty free. Love the beach and also snorkeling at Coral Island. Good place to visit it's your first time to an island. Ferry ride is short and sweet (15 mins) so no worries being seasick. Seafood is fresh but please avoid the tourist trap. Best to rent a car to get around if with family or a scooter if it's just the 2 of you. Btw check the aircond of the car you are renting is working well cos it gets hot! Only downside is that during public & school holidays the place is packed and not worth the hassle. Probably need more eco-tourism. More needs to be done about town-planning and also waste/rubbish management.

On weekend or public holiday, just strolling around by the Lumut Waterfront from end to another, start at early evening to late at night. Could watch a sunset too. Numbers of eateries with decent food options and fair price. Carpark may be a challenge from evening to midnight, but there's always a spot if you don't mind walking a bit distance. Somedays, there'll be buskers or art performers.

The location was very convenient and also it was self checking with pin on the front door of the room. No down time for checking in. The property management team was very friendly and offered us with an room upgrade without any additional charges. Will recommend family and friends the same services if they plan to go for holiday in Lumut.

This was my first time at a homestay, and I have come back with a very good experience, and a much higher urge to stay at a homestay again! I stayed at Homestay Manitha for 1 days, and it was a wonderful experience -a wonderful home with all facilities, and a very friendly, helpful and homely feeling provided by the owner. - This is a real home, with all its amenities - Absolute silence and peace all around

Pros : From Marina to Pangkor Island, the whole ferry experience was awesome! Terminal at Marina was great and offers good amenities, buying ferry tickets was also a breeze. The ferry ride was excellent, it was on time, comfortable and safe. the Terminal at Pangkor Island was good too. The whole end to end system was amazing, i was impressed! and Pangkor Island is charming, quaint, beautiful, scenic, has amazing beaches and rain forests. The people are amazingly friendly. I just love their offerings of dried seafood products! Cons : Howeverso, the Island lacks so much in its infrastructure to welcome tourists to stay longer and to enjoy the island's natural beauty and offerings. to name a few ... Lacking pedestrian walkways, insufficient parking for vehicles, many eateries closed on weekdays, parts of main roads are closed, rubbish on beaches ( I saw a dead boar! ), stalls and shops obstruct access and views to beach and sea. i dont mind the villages and fishermen huts by the beach because the old island houses add charm to the area, but the unnecessary tacky stalls and shops make the beach look dirty and unwelcoming! marring the beautiful scenic sea view! oh, I was there on a Sunday and Galeri Pangkor was closed!! .. this Galeri needs to be opened during the weekends as that is when most tourists are visiting! if Galeri needs to be closed for a day during the week, choose a slow day like Monday or Wednesday! and its ok for main roads to be narrow but they are just too dangerous to be manouvred safely! I hope the state govt and the local council work together properly and well, to improve the island's state of infra affairs so that it would be at par or better with other international acclaimed tourist islands. Its Visit Malaysia 2026, but i guess, to me, Pangkor Island is just not ready for it 🤷🏻‍♂️ ...

There was absolutely nothing to do or see in Lumut, we were there during Ramadan, so there may be more than 2 eating options at other times. We had stayed there on the way to Pangkor, after getting a bus from KL, it would have been easy to just get the ferry when we arrived.

Great location with multiple choice of foods variety like Musang King Food Center, Char kueh teow selambak , Thai restoran and easy to find Mamak shop there. Easy access through WCE Highway or Federal Road for reach Lumut waterfront , Pulau Pangkor and shopping Ikan bilis mata biru.

the best beach holiday island within reach with lots of activities ,food and exciting resorts to stay and take a break from work. if the resorts are even cheaper from the current rates i'd love to stay more days.

I visited Lumut to do my shopping and for thai massages which are less than half the price in the city than in nearby Hilton hotel. I reccomend Siam Paradigm located in Manjug - 3 hour professional oil massage is incredible value for your money!
