Loved the fact that the focus is on the forest and wildlife, not the usual luxuries. No wifi in the room and that is really good. The food was just excellent - clean, fresh and delicious. I am vegan and the chef took special care to accommodate that constraint. The lodge manager was very courteous and helpful. The resort itself is small and one feels like one is in the middle of a forest. Its right next to the core zone so not much habitation around. Special mention of Reshmi in Sales/Reservation who was exceptional in coordinating my travel from Kathmandu including the airport pick ups and drop. I am sure i will be back here soon.

Hukum, the owner and guide, worked so hard to make sure I had a good time. His wife provides the meals, which were excellent and organic (many of the items are from his own garden). He helped me plan an itinerary for my time there. His prices were reasonable for the excursions. I saw a tiger and elephant in the wild as well as many other species of birds and animals. Although it's significantly more expensive than the other day trips, I would recommend the rafting. It was peaceful and a unique way to see Bardiya.

And nanu explains you how the safari goes to happen. he will be your guide during the safari. i did safari walking and jeep. i saw tigers/rhinoceros/elephants/snakes/monkeys...). good price!! there are 2 or 3 rooms. usually not a lot of people. big room with mosquito net, fan ceiling and your own bathroom. it was clean. nothing to say. i paid 210€ in all : for 4 safaris walking and 1 safari jeep, meals, free water bottles, room. 8.5 days!! safari begins at 7am and finishes like 6pm. bardia park is good if you want to avoid the tourists like in chitwan. so lets go to nanu homestay if u want a very good experience in a local family instead a ressort expensive and without contact with the owner.
