We had an incredible stay - the hosts were so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The views were absolutely stunning, with peaceful surroundings that offered the perfect place to relax. The location was ideal: a quiet area close to Hobbiton and just a short drive close to town and other amenities/experiences. Must try the tomahawk steak dinner! Overall it makes you feel like it’s a visit to mom and dad’s!

Location was perfect! With beds that were as comfortable as beds from back home, this cottage has it all. The host is very quick to respond and attentive. Our daughter, her partner and their five boys stayed a night at the Red Shed while down from Auckland for a party. They loved the spacious room, the comfortable beds and couches, the pool table, TV and games. Dad enjoyed the seeded bread. They enjoyed feeding the alpacas with host Maria, who was lovely in her communication with me and the family.
