Exceptional bed linen and kitchen. We enjoyed very calm evening with tea outside the Casa. The place is very compact, but there was everything we needed for a short stay.

Quinta do Paço Hotel is an amazing place for a relaxing weekend. The staff is extremely friendly and always interested in helping, the rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the restaurant seems great (did not have the opportunity to try it).
I definitely want to go back!

Vila Real is a nice town with all factilities available, some nice and affordabled places to eat or have a drink.
It is within 30 minutes of driving from the Douro valley. A great ride will bring you in the wineries over there.
Be prepared that wine tasting in the Douro valley is overpriced.

We rented a car at Porto airport.
We rented a car at Porto airport. It took us about 2 hours in easy driving to reach the place. Carlos provides the address for navigation, the parking at the house is to be reached with a small downhill road.
I would highly recommend the place for anyone who wish to have a few quiet days.

Like every rural location in Spain, it took a bit of finding, but we got there OK.
We ate in, the view was well worth it.
Narrow roads, but hardly any traffic.
Good access to all nearby towns and villages.

This is a great place to spend the best time in the Douro Valley and enjoy the surroundings with the best views, terrace vineyards and wineries. The outdoor pool attracts you even more, especially if you have a teenager who wants to spend time around the pool / beach.

Very hot but what a quaint place. Loved thecmin street and the little surrounding streets. So much history, many churches and amazing views across to the big viaduct if you follow the main street down to the old cemetery . Delightful place.

My stay was very short but it has breathtaking views.

There is a good choice of restaurants and bars in town.
There is a good choice of restaurants and bars in town. Same goes for shops - no big stores but quite a lot of independent small businesses.
There is a walkway across the valley which takes you past streams and small waterfalls and is worth the effort. The walkway has been re-furbished and is worth the effort to go across. Best to wear trainers or similar.
