There is a lot of history around Al-Wajh and the city makes a good location to be based for further exploring the area such as Al-Zureb Fort/Castle along the old Egyptian Pilgrim Route (Darb Al-Haj Al-Masri), and the Camel rock.
Within the old town is Al-Wajh Fort and traditional market.
Al-Wajh is also a great place for diving along the Red sea.
