It took us 30 mins to checkin to the hotel. At first the reception staff denied our reservation and he was not at all aware about our reservation. We had to make several calls to Jeddah before securing our room.

There is a lot of history around Al-Wajh and the city makes a good location to be based for further exploring the area such as Al-Zureb Fort/Castle along the old Egyptian Pilgrim Route (Darb Al-Haj Al-Masri), and the Camel rock.
Within the old town is Al-Wajh Fort and traditional market.
Al-Wajh is also a great place for diving along the Red sea.
