Access to all connecting roads very easy (North South East) Favorite spot Port Launay Beach Restaurant Chez Plume (Auberge Anse Boileau) Note: next year Auberge Boileau's owner is changing. Review updates will be required... Got lucky to see a wild turtle on the Anse Boileau beach...
The beach is safe, though when the tide is out not brilliant for swimming. The road runs along the length of he beach so it's not that private. Certainly not the best beach, but there are a few shops and a take away if you want to picnic and it's very close to bus stops. We watched the fishermen bringing home their catch. A good place to watch the sun go down. Apart from the fishermen, we were mostly on our own on the beach.
It was a good trip in. Lots of views but the people are bit scary. When my wife travel in the bus the old man was touching her.we don't know if he was drunk or it was just his trip to touch foreign girls. And the owner of the first hotel we went he lied to us. He was pretending that he was concerned to us. But he doesn't know that we knew everything already. They always ask for extra cost.. His hotel is Le chateau bleu.
I was on a sailing trip around the Seychelles islands with Sailing Nations after which I stayed back a couple nights in Mahe. Unfortunately the time of my stay there wasn't the best - it was NYE and most things were shut. Beau vallon was the silver lining! Loved the beach and there were a lot of restaurants, bars and even street food options along the beach - so it all ended up as a fab end to my trip to the Seychelles
It is not easy to find international food outlet in an around Mahé. Local food are a bit expensive and most restaurants closes early. It is advisable to have backup of snacks in your hotel room. Renting a car is very cost effective.
Eden Island is a modern development of villas/apartments with berths for yachts and includes a modern hotel, restaurants, small shopping mall. ok for families but not attached to a beach but has shuttle bus arrangement to a local beach.
