Standard hotel room, minimalistic but functional. Clean and well designed. We had a room with an amazing mountain view. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Every morning fresh drinking water was provided to our room, it was particularly tasty.

(actually stayed here November 2023) We were getting the dogu express which leaves Kayseri at 1am so we booked somewhere to rest so we didn't have to wait in the cold. Hotel is a very short 5 minute walk to the train station.
Staff were really lovely and welcoming. When we explained we were leaving very early and wouldn't be there for breakfast they offered to make us a sandwich and this was ready for us as we left! Really kind of them and really great service.
The bed was comfortable enough and the bathroom was clean if a little tired but it was perfect for what we needed.

Kayseri is a historical treasure.
Kayseri is a historical treasure. The historical museums are awesome, especially the new archaeology museum in the castle. It also has a lot of surviving Seljuk-Mongol buildings from the 13th and 14th century that are almost unique. It is often overlooked because Kappadokya is right next door, but it shouldn't be.

During the five days we stayed at Zümrüt Palas, we simply felt at home: both the excellent location of the hotel (right opposite the ski resort), the order and cleanliness of the rooms, and above all the friendliness of the staff. We saw that the choice we made was extremely appropriate in terms of hospitality. Thank you Mr. Burhan, thank you guys: Ömer, Ahmet, Mehmet, Muhammed, Osman and Yaşar and Anıl. Hoping to see you again as soon as possible.

I love Kayseri.
I love Kayseri. It is very unlike Istanbul because it is not hilly and its very easy to get around on foot, by bus, the tram or by taxi.
My youngest daughter is studying there, and I like to visit and spend quality time bonding with her over several cups of Turkish Cay/Tea and scrumptious Doners. I usually only visit to relax and unwind so I dont trot all over the city. My best activity in Kayseri is strolling to the castles and city center with my daughter and savouring the beautiful courtyard feel of the area all around the castles. We like to hop from one shop to the next and snake thru the old bazaar there. The hustle and bustle of that old bazaar is very enthralling.
You will find the most exotic spices and sausages there.
When we need to do something different, we visit the malls for some shopping and fast food. There is a designer shoe and bag outlet shop called FLO in one of the malls called FORUM where there is always a Buy One Get One Free (BOGOF) deal going on. Its a must visit!
My daughter swears by the very large zoo but I am yet to visit it. There is a very large city park which my daughter likes to visit with her friends. too.
The snow mountain, Erciyes, is a big crowd puller in the winter but I am not a snow person so ...I pass!
The hotel of choice for me is Korgmaz Residanz for its simplicity, awesome customer care, good proximity to the city center and the fact that its surrounded by high quality, affordable hospitals (for those who want the service of big European city without the back breaking corresponding budget). The hotel is literally a 30 seconds walk into at least one of the hospitals
In all, I will heartily recommend Kayseri
