Our stay at Aspen Mountain Lodge was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. The breakfast had a great selection. The lodge was walking distance to town, about 5-10 minute walk to most of our in-town destinations. The bus shuttle to the mountain stops close to the hotel. The staff was friendly and courteous.

We were visiting family, so they were our main attraction. However Aspen is in such a beautiful location there is so much to like. They say come to Aspen for skiing stay for the summer, they couldn’t be more right. Summer or winter there is something for everyone.

I really liked this village because it suited my needs and interests. Very little shopping and restaurants. Really just a gateway to the two main lifts. More retail and food a short way up the mountain at the "Mall" which kept that traffic away from the skiing action. The village really never seemed crowded and the lift lines were super quick.

It is a lovely property nestled back against the mountain side. Each cabin is unique, offering it's own charm. The commercial kitchen in the main lodge is well stocked with utensils and pans for cooking and baking. My qife and I cannot wait to go back.

Aspen is a beautiful destination with wonderful cultural institutions such as the Aspen Music Festival and School and the Aspen Art Museum. Near Aspen is a scenic area called the Maroon Bells with hiking opportunities easy and challenging which will give you an awe-inspiring sense of what the Rocky Mountains are all about.

Snowmass Village has a large and diverse ski area, catering to all levels, providing a wide scope of options and spreading people over many lifts, keeping queues to a minimum. The staff are warm, helpful and friendly. The lifts are modern and in good order, the on-piste runs, wide and groomed well. Many runs are boarded by pine forest, defining the runs well, the pines often covered in snow, looking absolutely beautiful. The on-mountain facilities are great and provided for enjoyable breaks, sipping hot drinks and recharging energy stores. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, other boarders and skiers relaxed and accommodating. The Village Mall and lower areas present beautifully, having that timber and dark tile alpine look and feel and providing many interesting opportunities. Particularly enjoyed the little Thai restaurant in the old village. Overall, Snowmass is a very good ski resort and 1 of the best we've experienced.

Aspen is a beautiful city in a beautiful location.

Aspen is a beautiful city in a beautiful location. Easy to walk from one end to the other. Parks and playgrounds are plentiful. Easy access to the Rio Grand Trail is a plus. Lots of hiking trails. Prices for lodging and food are high.

This was definitely a place for those in their 20s-30s.

This was definitely a place for those in their 20s-30s. Young people seem to have a much better handle on electronically looking things up and making their way to a certain destination. We were overall disappointed in the customer service. It seemed as though we were interrupting when asking for directions. We were not told of how many places were closed nor how to access others where we could get a simple meal. We plan to give this another try in late September 2025 only because we weren't really impressed with Basalt for a place to stay close to Maroon Bells. Although, Two Rivers Cafe had an amazing breakfast. Now that we have a better handle on things, we might enjoy it more next time. Zane's had an amazing burger!
