This is the greatest place you can choose for your vacation. We traveled a lot but never met this level of professionalism and dedication, and overall beauty everywhere. We loved it and we will come back!

Angel Fired Pizza and Zebs were the best places to eat.
Angel Fired Pizza and Zebs were the best places to eat.
Easy to find what you need and there's a great little grocery store in town.
Good location for hiking, skiing, biking, fishing or site seeing/shopping.
The weather and mountains are always beautiful.

Well it is a quiet little town that's for sure.
Well it is a quiet little town that's for sure. Spectacular views! But there's hardly a place to eat dinner except towards the weekend when most of the handful of restaurants are open. We found that very disappointing. We ate at a Thai restaurant which I can only say was mediocre but it was the ONLY place open without driving to Angel Fire.

Everything was excellent.
Everything was excellent. Vernon helped make our stay special by outlining what we could do in the area, plus he had a birthday cake ready for our celebrating granddaughter. Our stay there was a highlight of a great family vacation.

We were at the property during the July 4th holiday, yet nothing was crowded. The valley in which the town of Angel Fire sits is a beautiful alpine valley. The village had a few shops and a grocery store.

The trip was wonderful.
The trip was wonderful. Snow on the mountains and the lake was frozen. It was really a wonderful place. We ate in Red River because we were unsure of places to eat, but it wasn't an issue. We love Red River as well. Getting around is extremely easy. I wouldn't avoid a thing.

Perfect getaway if near Taos or Angel Fire.
Perfect getaway if near Taos or Angel Fire. Fantastic service, and a feeling of Comfort. We had our “Christmas” at this location as our grown children met us at the location right after Christmas. The five of us plus our two dogs had a splendid time and look forward to visiting again.

Angel Fire proper is a pretty boring town.
Angel Fire proper is a pretty boring town. It's very small and other than the bike park (or ski area if you go in the winter) there's not much to do there. Nice to have the grocery store and gasoline is competitively priced. It is a resort town so some things are simply more expensive, that's just how it is. Both pizza places in town are great. Pizza Stop food is amazing but very expensive. Angel Fired Pizza is delicious and less expensive. If you need anything beyond the basics or just want something else to do, Taos is a 40 minute drive over the mountain and is a much bigger town with all of the usual in regard to fast food and cheap entertainment.

It was good to be near so many other communities like Red River and Cimarron. Eagle Nest has wonderful people who are helpful. The view of the Rocky Mountains is awesome! We found beautiful areas to hike around Eagle Nest and in the other communities. Hiking was comfortable and accessible. Getting around the area is not hard, very easy.

A great townhouse in the beautiful Taos canyon.
A great townhouse in the beautiful Taos canyon. A short drive into Taos. The townhouse was very clean and had everything we needed. We took day trips to Eagle Nest lake and the Taos Ski Valley, all within an hour drive from Shady Brook. Vernon was an amazing and welcoming host! I would love to come back in the winter to enjoy the kiva fireplaces!
