The manager of the property is professional and accommodating, a real professional. Housekeeping was friendly and attentive and detail oriented. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. We love staying here, the rooms and family environment are very inviting. Thank you!!!

Top of the line continental breakfast with many options. Locations is perfect and on the main strip for everything. They had a very nice park for the kids to enjoy which is helpful during check in and check out.

Breakfast was the best with the exception there was no fresh fruit and coffee was weak.
Room needed to be freshened up including the drape that was torn. Also, shower head needed replacing, did not work well. Toilet worked but had an odd sound. Outdoor area especially parking lot had a lot of trash. Lots of dogs in my wing of the motel, barking & crying during supper time when owners were gone. Smoking and dog peeing right outside my room.

I was in a wedding in Brainerd.
I was in a wedding in Brainerd. It was a 24 minute trip one way. That was a little inconvenient. That is on me for not doing more research.
If you need items there is a Dollar General close. There is also a bar called Harpo's that has great service and fun meat raffles. Yes, MEAT Raffles. Wait, staff is amazing. Don't forget pull tabs!

Not much to like.
Not much to like. Not many sit in restaurants, almost all fast food or delivery. No entertainment or recreational activities, lakes and rivers are terribly polluted, over crowded. People are rude and look like they escaped a psychedelic water color painting. Health is not a concern here in brainerd baxter.

Lovely small town (right next to another small town) with lots of shops, bars and eateries within walking distance or short drive. You can also walk to the local lake and it’s close to hiking and biking trails.

I liked that it was small and had variety of curio shops and restaurants. I didn’t like the fact that ride shares like Uber and Lyft were non-existent. We had to have emergency repairs done to the car and taxis were asking for too much. We had to walk everywhere. A thing that I notice was that there is no diversity in people there. Most of the population was white.

We visited a few thrift stores, Mills Fleet Farm, Harbor...
We visited a few thrift stores, Mills Fleet Farm, Harbor Freight, and Costco😉, but spent the majority of our time at Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham enjoying the time with our family 🤗‼️ We did go to a chinese buffet for one of our dinners, but were quite disappointed😏. Next time we will try the 371 Diner; we heard that is a great family restaurant☺️🥰‼️

wow! the clear acrylic kayak rentals were so cool. they delivered and picked up onsite our place on serpent lake in crosby.
dining options in crosby are so varied and delicious. so many new places to explore. just sorry most of the antique shops have moved out but so many new options to explore including massage shops! pickle ball!

Nisswa is a cute small town, with lots of small shops.
Nisswa is a cute small town, with lots of small shops. Our visit was end of February, and everything was open. Brainard is close by for large shopping, big box stores, so Nisswa is quaint shopping! Plenty of restaurants and breweries close by

Baxter was fine,motel was fine..booking sucked! We ask for 2 rooms ,close together ,we received 1 room. Not nearly big enough for 4 adults and 2 children. This was the fault of Booking.com not the motel

This was a great place to stay if you're bringing your dog...
This was a great place to stay if you're bringing your dog with you because the owners provide a kennel with a bed and a water bowl, just like home! My little dog enjoyed laying in his dog bed on the deck watching cars go by (he's old and easily satisfied). I also liked the easy parking, there is room for more than one vehicle onsite or maybe a vehicle pulling a boat. Victual in Crosby has homemade ice cream and cheeses that are spectacular, I'm not sure if it was the owner I spoke with but he was very helpful in choosing both.
