We had a wonderful stay, the house is absolutely gorgeous. We were lucky enough to meet one of the owners and get a tour of the tunnels and a bit of the history on our first night in. It was fascinating and I highly recommend chatting with them if you get a chance. We stayed in the last room in the back but it is connected to the rest of the house through hallways and is easy to navigate. My friend and I went skiing while my boyfriend stayed in the house and explored the town. He had the house mostly to himself both days on a holiday weekend and he enjoyed being in the space reading and working. The house is not staffed all the time but it is set up to have everything you need and you can always call someone. The rooms were warm and cozy. They offer pasties and coffee for breakfast which was lovely. Short 20 min drive to Okemo. Copper fox in town is delicious for dinner. All in all a wonderful gem that we were lucky to find.

Starting with check-in, Miles was outstanding, so personable and so professional, doing everything he could to ensure a perfect stay. I have travelled extensively, and rarely have I experienced such impeccable service and care. Our rooms were perfection - spacious, spotless, beautifully equipped and with lovely views and extremely comfortable beds. We had planned to eat out, but finally opted for the hotel restaurant and were so glad we did. Caleb was incredible, so warm and welcoming and offering such excellent service and recommendations. Both Caleb and Miles at the desk made our stay truly memorable, and are a great asset to this hotel. The food and service were so good that we came back the next night and were not disappointed. Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience!

Very quaint Inn with lots of nice touches. Full kitchen was great. Check in was easy with door code and keys on wall.
Location great for skiing at Sunapee. Decorations were tasteful and beautifully coordinated. Main sitting area was comfortable with a gas fireplace. I stayed in the Moss Creek room and it was excellent. Everything was brand new. Bed was comfortable. Shower was perfect. Everything was very clean. Heat kept the room cozy and regulated well. (Has individual room control) It is a self-service inn with no front desk but that is common these days and works out just fine. I had a couple of questions and Kayla the owner called me back right away, answered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable and happy. Would highly recommend and would return!

Claremont is a nice small town a lot of very nice scenery.

The local food was average at best and the majority of it was pizza.
Its a small enough town you wont get lost, and its close to some of the better areas in vermont.
Not very much to do there other then site see the beautiful mountains and trees, it was Leaf season as well so that was a bonus.

We went to bed very late and the line workers staying there...
We went to bed very late and the line workers staying there were up stomping around at 4 am. I understand it's all old building and quite time is supposed to be 11-9. We checked out before about 8am because we couldn't go back to sleep. No shower because the shower curtain was filthy.

The common man is always a great stay, great location, great staff very clean and welcoming! The rooms are great spacious with nice decor and comfortable beds. The only issue which would not stop me from continuing to come back is the breakfast! The area is way to small, in the corner of the main lobby, very busy has to come back for coffee twice it is a bit frustrating if you go at the wrong time the food options are typical for a continental breakfast but needs a better location and more seating would be nice if the breakfast was in the restaurant instead for just breakfast hours huge recommendation!
