This was a gem of a hotel. We were allowed to drop our items off early by the wonderful assistant at the desk. Kara was especially helpful explaining how we would check in after hours and manage our personal belongings. She was so helpful. The young man late at night when we checked in was extremely gracious and kind as well. Great customer service!

The owner was very informative when we arrived and showed us around the hay loft which is actually a very beautiful space converted into a welcome area with a coffee bar, various types of glassware for beverages, teas, hot chocolate, and snacks. This is also where the delicious and hearty breakfast was served. The coffee was great. The room was very comfortable and had a deck with outdoor furniture. The grounds are beautiful with a pond and a pool. I also liked that this was near both Longwood Gardens and Winterthur. There were good restaurants a short drive away.

It is a very nice hotel.
It is a very nice hotel. It presents very well as you first walk inside. Very clean and everything seems to be updated. Beds are very comfortable and bathroom was nice. Shower was impressive. They have everything that you might need for a short or extended stay. Just Don't expect much from their continental breakfasts because its just below average. Elevator could be bigger. Breakfast area is smaller than most hotels.

We had a lovely stay at Downington Manor. The house is charming, well equipped and very comfortable. We arrived to a warm and welcoming place all decorated for the holiday. Our hosts, Mark & Michelle were very accommodating. I would definitely visit again and would highly recommend this lodging.

It is a very nice Place 2 visits and Wayne Brook inns has excellent food. Good bar upstairs and downstairs. And if you are a single guy there are plenty of local Girls that go there. For a family or a couple of the accommodations are great. The owner is good. I have not had a bad stay there I plan on staying there quite often. When me and my other need a night away. You?
Will not be disappointed.

I would definitely stay in this hotel again and again. VERY comfortable bed in a quiet room. Pillows were fluffy, not flat. No bad smells or stains. There was no freezer section in our refrigerator, a slight inconvenience. Bedside lamp provided plugs for charging my phone and for plugging in my CPAP machine (yay!). Breakfast had a good variety. Strangely, there's no place to hang your towels. Also, there were only three hangers in the closet. Bonus: There's the Dutch-Way Family Restaurant up the road for a well-priced meal after your travels (however, they are closed on Sundays). Plus, there's a supermarket next-door to the restaurant. Also convenient for travelers.

Our trip was quick, primarily to go to the Longwood Gardens.
Our trip was quick, primarily to go to the Longwood Gardens. Was disappointed that it was closed on Tuesdays since we drove to Kennett Square on Monday and left Wednesday. We got to go on Monday but only for about 3 hours and a half. I could have stayed longer. It was beautiful and worth the trip. Next day we explored Winterthur another lovely place with a lot of history & great for relaxing & enjoying nature. Also ideal for hikers as there are a lot of hiking trails. The house tour was fascinating. Later we went into the town of Kennett Square for dinner. The town has little shops and restaurants. It was pleasant to walk around and ate dinner at The Tavola restaurant. Very nice place (outdoor seating & indoors)& food was very good. Finished off the day by using the jacuzzi at the hotel to massage our feet and back after long day of walking. We left early the next day so we filled in a lot in a short amount of time.

The Bruce Munro light installations at Longwood Gardens and the Fountain Light show with Bollywood music were unbelievable. Hagley Mansion and grounds were lovely as always, and the docents were knowledgeable and friendly.
