Horsehead/Elmira this was a great stay and convenient. Would recommend Picks Pub for a nice drink and some friendly locals. Corning Museum was nice and great demonstrations and deals on products. I would recommend to reservation to create your own. (I did not do this.) Tanglewood Nature center was great and has great exhibits.

Corning is a great town to visit.
Corning is a great town to visit. The two museums, glass and Rockwell, are excellent. There is a main street full of good restaurants and fine shops. We ate dinner at The Cellar and lunch at Cugini's Cafe.

The hotel is in a gear location just next door to Corning New York. Walmart across the street and some neighbouring stores.
The hotel is more than 10 years old but I’m really good condition.
Breakfast was wonderful - the front desk always kept the supplies stocked for coffee and tea station.
It was so nice that the staff provided take away breakfast bags for the early runners this Sunday.
Great patio area in the back to enjoy the weather.

This is a stop over for us as we travel to NH from IN by taking the NY southern route. We like that it has plenty of shops and restaurants for us to grab something for dinner and head back on the road the next morning. We have read up on the history of the area, which is interesting, but don't go sight seeing since we just use it as a quick overnight before our next day travels.

Preplanned itinerary is key since many attractions are open limited days and/or hours. However, with a little planning and calling perhaps, you can have a wonderful time taking in the nearby sites. For example, vineyards may want a reservation but will accommodate walk-ins for tastings; prices also vary. Go early to avoid crowds at Watkins Glen State Park and avoid if you don't want to do many steps which may be wet. Corning and Elmira have museums (like the Rockefeller) to stay cool or Eldridge Park for a carousel ride and miniature golf outdoors! Plus there's Mark Twain's grave and study. It's a wonderful area to relax!

The breakfast was in poor in varieties and no taste at all.The room was clean and spotless. Bed sheets and pillows were great. Towels were like new. And the room and shower was like just had renewed. No smells. Quiet area. Very friendly staff. We enjoy our stay. Thanks for hospitality!

Several museums (Corning)were close by. The towns of Corning, Elmira, and Watkins Glen are all close by as well as Seneca lake and the winery tour. Watkin Glen gorge and park are beautiful. There are several different local places to eat including Applebee's. Could easily spend several days in this area.

I was visiting family so I may be biased. Harris hill is beautiful! It's easy to get around. Plenty of hotels off the highway. I only wish I choose a better one. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Arnot mall was disappointing, lots of vacancies, but there is other shopping nearby.

The city is charming!
The city is charming! I went in December and I regret not being there to see the Christmas parade. No.
Although the city is very small, there are a multitude of very good restaurants and bars. It's even difficult to choose, in a stay as short as ours.
I fell in love with Corning!
It is a very charming city and a must-see!
