Das nicht weit von atemberaubenden Wasserfällen entfernte SCP Hilo Hotel bietet komfortable Wohneinheiten und einen Pool. Very close to the airport. Really friendly staff. I did not realize the sustainability efforts of the SCP brand when we booked, but this added to the good feeling of our stay. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. There was free gated parking. We spent a lot of time at the pool which had a really nice seating area and a beautiful buddha statue adding to a serene feel. I also strongly recommend the Lomilomi massage at Malama Honua Massage Therapy. We ate several meals at the restaurant next door, Coconut Grill, which had amazing food (my first time trying Lau Lau) and really beautiful local art depicting Hawaiian legends.

Allerdings unnötig schwieriger Check-in (erst ab 17 h !) wegen falscher bzw. fehlender Infos der Verwaltung (und das trotz deren enormer Länge ...).
