Reeds Bay Hotel is an older motel but it is extremely clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's in a fabulous location, right on the ocean and near numerous parks, restaurants and great walks. The beds were comfortable, nice kitchen facilities. We were planning only to overnight one time but extended our stay because my husband enjoyed morning coffee by the sea so much. It's a great deal for the price.

I grew up in Hilo, and they kept the original name Waiakea Villas, but originally, this was a hotel. Then, eventually turned it into studios/condos. I love the location. Checking in and out was a breeze. Ideal location, studio is located on the first floor. Secured locks on the door. 7min from the Hilo airport. Very cozy. Lots of parking. The pool is located right outside of the patio. You'll LOVE Hilo....Enjoy the Island vibe.

Location was perfect for work, plus close to many sites I wanted to see on the weekends. Spacious house with plenty of room. Was very happy to have a washer and dryer. House was close to many restaurants and shopping. Great neighborhood. Great centralized location for everything from Volcano National Park to Mauna Kea. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials.
