I just was there overnight on my way to visit relatives elsewhere. I went to High School in Torrance so I'm quite familiar with Inglewood. There are many fun places to go and interesting things to do there.

I found the lady on the check in desk unhelpful.
I found the lady on the check in desk unhelpful. We had to pay a $100 deposit upon entering the hotel for each room and we were told that it would not be debited from our bank account. When we returned to France (the next day) we discovered that $200 had been debited from our account ($100 for each room). Moreover €21,66 (twice) had also been debited and we have no idea what this amount corresponds to. I am very unhappy about the situation and would like an explanation ASAP.

The rooms at Elev8 are ALWAYS very clean. The staff there are friendly. There's a Mexican eatery across the street and there's a store as well. There's a pizza restaurant and a Louisiana Fried chicken (to go only) restaurant a 1/2 block away. Botth are very good with good prices. 3 blocks away are the SOFI Stadium, and Intuit Dome. The Kia Forum is 5 blocks away. The YouTube theater, Hollywood Park Casino, and the Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas are also on the same property as the stadiums. 2 blocks east of the casino and across the street are 2 huge shopping centers that are great for shopping and eating. Within 3 blocks going west, there's a Burger King, Pizza Hut, IHop, 2 Chinese restaurants and a you buy we fry seafood restaurant (take out only for the seafood), and there's a CVS....and let's not forget tha LAX is approximately 3 miles west of Elev8. If you don't want to drive and miss the sites, public transportation is nearby. Elev8 is in the perfect location. Last but not least, come by and say HELLO to Shawn, the friendly and patient manager. He exhibits PERFECT, professional customer service skills.

I think what went wrong could have been better handle with training. The rudeness of the person asking if we paid for breakfast as we made plates. We were told the breakfast time when we checked in but not that we had a fee to pay extra. Instead she chose to yell it with a full room of guest eating breakfast. This place is smelly, we got in the trash can is not even empty, dirty wash towels on top of shower hear and overhang, smell pee on bathroom floor, the cleaner was in the next room and kind enough to clean our bathroom. No fire alarm, went to the front desk and they know.just too tired to check everything we want to get some sleep and leave the next day. Bed and pillow is sunken and gave us back pain and headache, what a day. Remove this from your list it’s not a good place for family.

This is my third time to stay in Holiday Inn LAX Airport and I've always had a wonderful stay. The room is large, value for money and the staff has always been accommodating. We arrived at a very busy time, but the hotel manager and one of the staff members (who assisted us with our luggage) were both very pleasant as they both entertained our inquiries and accommodated our request to store our bags while waiting for check in and also allowing us to check in a bit earlier.

The room is spacious and clean, though there was a worrying water stain on the ceiling of one room. Generally quiet. There was some renovation work going on in the room across the hall from us, but the loud noises didn't last for longer than half an hour and was silent all through the night. The airport offers a free shuttle that runs about every 20 minutes to and from LAX, and it's immensely useful.

It is near LAX and a nice part of the city. You are also near the metro line and bus routes, which take you around the city. The customer service is excellent, and the hotel is clean and well-maintained. There is also a free shuttle service to the airport.
