As soon as we walked in the girl at the front desk was super friendly and efficient. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. The pool hot tub and work out room were very clean as well. Jacuzzi was amazing. My husband and I went down to breakfast thinking they were only going to have surgery cereals and muffins etc... what was actually there was all that stuff plus eggs sausage potatoes and biscuits and gravy. Pleasantly surprised!! Also this was a weekday. Also we were right across from the vending/ice machine and we didn't hear anything from those two in the room. I thought this was a great value for the money and if we have to stay overnight in lacrosse again we will definitely be staying here!

We were in the area for short ice fishing trip. Staff was very friendly. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and there was a large 2 person shower. The pool was warm and hot tub was not too hot. They have a cute, self serve, hot chocolate bar in the lobby. The continental breakfast incluced: cereal, yogurt, scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, toast, begal and english muffins along with a juice machine and coffee. We did not use the fitness center.

Onalaska is a beautiful area. There is so much to see and do in the area we never have time to fit everything in. Onalaska has wonderful restaurants, beautiful views and great shopping. We always look forward to returning to the area all year round.

Cute shops and businesses nearby within walking distance from Hotel, staff was always so helpful and courteous. We didn't ask for more blankets but I'm sure if we had they would have given us more. The staff made staying there a pleasure.

This is a little tucked off the beaten path but clean and quiet location. There is Highway 53 just over the knoll but I couldn't hear it from my room at all. Staff is friendly. This was our second stay at this location and I'd stay here again.
We've stayed many times 10 miles south in LaCrosse, but the pricing of where we stayed has tripled over the years. This is just a little further up the road and a very nice stay.
There is a McDonalds and Subway right next to the motel and a Kwik Trip across the I-90 Alt road - all within easy walking distance. Nice restaurants are 3-4 miles south in Onalaska, and 10-12 miles south in LaCrosse.
You can also find a couple places to eat 3 miles north in the town of Holmen, but we never went that way.
Our stay was part of our 670 mile 4 day motorcycling loop through southwest Wisconsin where we enjoy riding the winding, hilly roads and scenery. Lots of dairy farming and crops planted in the fields.

Bed was comfortable but the pillows were flat and lumpy. Nice that there were 3 per bed though. Breakfast was usual but warm: eggs, sausage and make your own waffles.
Room needed a deep clean especially the bathroom.

Just passed through and did not have time to explore. I was impressed by the scenery though. Being on the Mississippi River, there has got to be tons of things to see, do and explore.
I would not hesitate to hang out in the area for a while!

formerly an important river town on the mississippi river. a large number of the 19th and early 20th century buildings are quite striking and have been renovated in a good way (i.e. not "modernized"). the downtown encompasses more than 5 or 6 blocks. there are a number of good restaurants and real coffee shops. More bars than you can shake a stick at. the river front has been nicely pedestrianized with a large park and a paved river-walk. Good place for a long weekend.

When getting gasoline at a Kwik trip, I asked a officer from county sheriff's dept if there was a place around to get a ice cream cone. He answered, the butcher's shop . We found "the Holmen meat locker" on main St. What a find!! It had ice cream, fudge, lots of unique items and the meat depth where I purchased old style smoked Jerry also!
Highly recommended stop!! Laurie the owner was a gem!

The town of West Salem has a beautiful library and we enjoyed a treat at Linda's bakery, which is always great. Lunch at Feature's is well worth visiting and there are local antique shops and retail shops as well. Brambleberry Winery has a good selection of wines and getting around the town is very convenient as it is adjacent to I-90.

the only reason we stayed there was for a competition and so my kid could use the pool. AFTER they swiped my credit card they told me the pool wasn't available. When i explained that was the only reason i was staying the counter woman got snotty with me and more or less said too bad deal with it. no adjustment, room change, nothing. just go away.

La Crosse is one of the most beautiful places in the country. We lived in that area in the 70s and 80s and wished we never moved away. La Crosse is an old river town that has kept it's charm and has a vibrant downtown.
