Breakfast variety could’ve been a little bit. All the Super 8’s have exactly the same breakfast and they need to add some different types of food foods, but it was very clean and it was. It was good.

My partner and I live in diferent states. We like to meet ,midway in the Mason City-Clear Lake area. We usually stay in CL but gave Mason City a try as we had plans in that community.
We don't spend a lot on hotels so we don't expect a lot. We were very pleasantly surprised with a very clean and comfortable stay.

we were just Needing a night before a cruise, but then was...
we were just Needing a night before a cruise, but then was inundated with request for hotel reviews almost daily and seemed ridiculous to have to stop our vacation for any moment to respond on your timeline... just like this review I am finally doing as I came home today, even when I get to the bottom there's still more needed and wanted and now the smile is leaving....so great night, good sleep, good price, now done with this review

Very progressive city investing in preserving its amazing architectural past and implementing big plans for its future. It’s not without problems or challenges as we encountered some of the homeless population and under class, but impressed with the communities vision for development and attracting young professionals.

Easy to get to attractions and close to Mason City and West...
Easy to get to attractions and close to Mason City and West Bend to see Groto and Meredith Wilson Museums. Surf Ballroom was fun to see and Crash site. The Mercantile shop was fun, so many fun things. Restaurants were good. If you like water activities it is the place to.go.

We only had planned on staying for one night on our way to visit our son and family in MN. However we ran into a nasty blizzard!!! The staff was extremely helpful and accomodating, guiding us to nearby places to eat, and allowing us to extend our stay another night due to the blizzard and highways being shut down.

The bathtub and shower fixtures hadn't been cleaned in a very long time.
The toilet was so filthy it was black between the seat and tank
The toilet was not bolted down, allowing it to rock on the floor
They were hosting a truck show, early attendees were taking up the breakfast and breakfast stra, leaving none for the guests.. I did get one cup of coffee

We stay in Mason City to go to Surf Ballroom events in Clear Lake. There is great things to see in Mason City though. We have checked out Stockman House museum, Historic Park Inn hotel, Charles MacNider Art museum, and the walking house tour.
