The best part about this location was, where it was located. It just happened to be just under 3 miles from our event. It was a short distance from most things in the area. When we arrived I walked to the store and a nice sized shopping area. So the convenience of having a store close by for necessities was excellent. The house had plenty of space, dishes and most importantly coffee for our mornings. But if it didn't, there was a Starbucks within walking distance. I think the most important thing about our stay was the responsiveness of the hosts. If we had any issues the host were quick to respond and if you travel, you want a fast responding on point host who can help provide whatever assistance is needed.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating any time I had a need. They helped me out in a very stressful situation (I was in town for my dogs dental surgery) and it's much appreciated! I would absolutely stay there again if I need a place to stay in Manhattan.

We didn't see much of Manhattan itself as we were there for a K-State basketball game. We did see many signs indicating sites of interest that we'd like to go back to visit. On a cousin's recommendation, we had Sunday morning breakfast at Early Edition. The food was excellent, but be prepared for a wait to be seated. It's a popular place! However, the restaurant was well staffed and efficient and the wait was bearable.

I don't know how a good review was listed for the Super 8 was given as it is trash. People did not have room as confirmed but after seeing what else was offered we did not want to stay there anyway, They were not helpful in trying to find us another hotel and we ended in finding another on our own. I see why price was so low as it was not very clean or the staff not helpful only with I'm sorry as they had not called to tell me my confirmation was no longer good because the A/C. We stayed at the Hilton and staff and room & etc was all great. I think someone needs to check out the Super 8 not good business.

Manhattan is a quintessential Midwestern college town.
Manhattan is a quintessential Midwestern college town. The town wraps around the university on 3 sides and college activities are integral to the activities of the town. Manhattan has a nice walkable Main street along with a student-oriented commercial district across the street from the university. K-State is a full on fanatical for their sports teams and the fans and alumni far and wide show up for their teams. There are also some nice big city amenities like bistros, brewpubs and speakeasys. Manhattan is definitely worth a weekend trip to take in a sporting event and explore the surrounding area.

Manhattan is truly one of the happiest places I have ever been. We love the people. The food and shops are great are great too. K-State University is a wonderful university with excellent facilities. Go for a game and enjoy the fun of Aggieville.
