Hotels near Miami Seaplane Base - MPB, Miami

Miami Beach is a good option is you want to just do nothing: go for a walk, a run or enjoy the beach. My stay was unusually cold so I wasn't able to swim this time. But I saw some people in the water - and I know this spell of cold weather was unusual. There is lots of partying happening in South Beach - but some places will be closed Monday to Wednesday. It's hard to find live entertainment. There is a free and beautiful botanical garden; there is a contemporary art museum which is not bad. There is lots of sun and sand and the unphotoshopped beauty of oceanic shades of blue. Miami itself is a bus trip. It's not long but buses are unreliable. Sometimes I took an Uber to save time.

I have been to USA on previous occasions, but it was my 1st visit to Miami. What impressed me was the public transport system - the MetroMover(which is FREE) bus and train systems. (tickets are $2.25 each) And importantly - contrary to expectations - from what I have read on the internet - I always felt SAFE when travelling or walking in the tourist areas. I saw a few homeless people, but they did not bother anyone. What was annoying sometimes, was tour guides and performers actually asking for gratuities! But that is America! I stayed for 12 nights over Christmas/New Year, but would recommend a stay of not more than 7 nights to see all the tourist attractions like Miami Beach, Florida Keys and the Everglades. I would also recommend 1st time visitors to stay in hotels on the MetroMover routes. A Metrorail train ticket from Miami airport is $2.25 !! A taxi will charge $40 - $50 !

Miami Beach offers sun-bathing and admiring sunrise/sunset; there are other activities such as the airboat ride in the Everglades and visiting Miccosukee villages. Multitude of restaurants and bars, as well as nightclubs.

Restaurant and all staff were very helpful and breakfast was excellent. We were just there for an overnight to make an air connection. Hotel was right next to the airport runway but was very quiet. Hotel was showing its age and bathroom was very small.

Always charming- walking along the Broadwalk, or walking on the street just visually relaxing and appealing. We enjoyed the varying Art Deco architecture spotted in between the updated hotels and of course the Art District.

Everything was good staff was very friendly and explained everything The rooms and elevator was very clean as well .Staff keeps the rooms very nice and clean overall excellent I had rental car for travel or Uber to the beach great
