GuyanaFirstly, I must state that this location for CitizenM was booked by mistake. In all recent visits to Miami, I've found the Brickell area to be the most enjoyable as it is a busy area with the city center a perfect place to hang out. Having arrived at CitizenM's Brickell location and being told we were at the wrong location was a great disappointment. However, after meeting Luccio and team at the Worldcenter location and having a very helpful and friendly encounter where they were very happy to cancel our stay, for free, allowing us to rebook at the Brickell location, but not before him sharing many helpful tips on how to get around the superiority of this location, we decided to follow his advice and stay.
This turned out to be the best mistake we've made as this is one of the most modern hotels you can find in Miami. The decor and the use of technology in their rooms, with the view of Bayside from both the room and rooftop Pool being the highlight of our trip.

Miami is one of my favorite cities in the country.
Miami is one of my favorite cities in the country. It's a wonderful melting pot of diverse cultures. The food is outstanding, the people are friendly and the ocean in gorgeous. Lots of things to see and do, or just hangout. The energy is electric. It can be loud though, music is everywhere and drivers like to rev their engines.

We had to cancel our stay due to unexpected travel issues, but the hotel staff was incredibly understanding and kind.
They handled everything professionally and refunded us without any problems.
Even though we couldn’t stay this time, the communication and support were excellent.
We truly appreciate their attitude and would happily choose this hotel in the future. Highly recommended!

THE HOTEL IS NASTY.
THE HOTEL IS NASTY. THE FRONT AREA, THE ELEVATOR, THE HALLWAY AND THE BEDROOM AND BATHROOM. THERE WAS ALSO SOMEONE BANGING ON MY DOOR AT 1:20 AM IN THE MORNING AND TRYING TO USE THEIR KEY TO GET IN MY ROOM. I CALLED THE FRONT DESK WHICH TOOK AWHILE TO ANSWER AND TOLD THEM THAT SOMEONE IS TRYING TO GET IN MY ROOM, A SHORT TIME LATER A FEMALE SECURITY WHO HARDLY COULD GET OUT HER OWN WAY CAME TO THE DOOR AND I TOLD HER WHAT HAD HAPPEN AND SHE SAID SHE DIDN'T SEE ANYONE BUT THEY WOULD CHECK THE CAMERA. I ALSO TOLD HER THAT I COULD NOT SLEEP. THEY NEVER GOT BACK TO ME. I LEFT THE NEXT MORNING.

A nice and quiet section of Miami Beach.
A nice and quiet section of Miami Beach. It’s far away from all the action, which makes it relaxing and secluded while still being an easy drive to get to all the main Miami Beach attractions. The town over, Surfside, plenty of restaurants and shopping. Being close to Haulover Beach was a huge plus because it was the nicest beach we visited in the area.

Florida have some of the best highways I’ve experienced anywhere for a long time. Unfortunately, the maniacs who drive those roads forget common courtesy for those who isn’t as familiar as they are.. 80 mph in the right lane, please give me a break and I’m used to drive in on the Audubond.

Miami is an impressive city when you look at its skyline.
Miami is an impressive city when you look at its skyline. The bay area with its artificial islands and mansions are fascinating and Miami beach Art Deco buildings set it apart. However downtown Miami, whilst opulent and dramatic, lacks a city centre and is fairly generic. The waterfront parks are all well manicured and I am glad to have seen it once.

South Beach is our favorite place to stay. Love walking the area, lots of great restaurants. Good people watching. Easy access to the mainland. Ubers and taxis are readily available. Lounging at a beach is not important to us.

Am still awaiting my $100 refund to go back into my account. This was explained to me and my wife, the money was held for any damages that may occur during my stay. I checked out on the 25th of December and today is the 28th of December. It’s only suppose to take 72 hrs or three days. I’ll wait another day before I start making some calls.

The climate in Miami is probably what draws most of the people there. I enjoyed the weather as I'm from the north. Not speaking Spanish and being treated rudely several times because of my inability to speak Spanish was unexpected and uncomfortable. I don't expect people to speak English, but I expect them not to treat me rudely. At first I found it somewhat humorous that I was trying to order food in an American fast food restaurant in the. Employee did not speak a lick of English. After a while I found it somewhat inconvenient, but I was accepting of that except for the occasions where I was the bad guy for only being able to speak English.
The driving was difficult with the aggressiveness that other people drive with, but I did get into the groove after a time.
The tourist industry is big there and many places took their clients for granted. If I return I will have a plan and will not use tour services again. Those encounters with ineptitude and lack of concern for the individual nearly ruined my families vacation.

Everything in Miami Beach is expensive, which is OK if you’re getting something for your money. In general, they add gratuities to the bill regardless of the service that’s presented. If I didn’t have to cruise out of Miami, I would never come here.
