Located 15 minutes’ walk from Maui Arts and Cultural Center, Maui Seaside Hotel is 8 km from Kihei Beach. An outdoor pool and restaurant are located on site. Free WiFi is included in all guest rooms. Outstanding service, friendly staff, hotel is nearby the sea, lovely rooms, quiet but on the other hand also near shops & the town center. Also a pro: After checking-out and exploring Kona for the rest of the day, we got later on an extra room for taking a shower and get ready for our long journey back home. Thank you - appreciate that very much!
Located on Maui's North Shore, this boutique property in Paia town offers access to 3 miles of white sand beach, relaxing amenities and convenient access to a wide range of activities. The staff was exceptional. All of them. I was a bit under the weather and the went out of their way to help me out and make me more comfortable.
This lodge is located on Hawaii’s North Shore, in the hustle and bustle of Paia Town. It offers free WiFi access in all rooms and a courtyard with a waterfall and a tiki-themed lounge area. Super clean comfortable room, great location to amenities and beach, attached to a friendly bar coffee house, with friendly helpful staff, possibly the best place I stayed out of all the Islands.
Set in Wailuku and with Iao Valley State Park reachable within 5 km, Wailuku Guesthouse offers express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi throughout the... Everything was truly perfect about this place. I absolutely adored it.
Featuring a restaurant, Central Maui Hostel is set in Wailuku in the Hawaii region, 5 km from Iao Valley State Park and 5 km from Iao Needle State Monument. Very quiet, except for the roosters that are everywhere and they’re noisy, however what can you do, it is their nature and their island. I would recommended this hostel if you’re looking for a reasonable price accomodation on Maui. The island is spectacular
Featuring self catering suites with balconies and panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, this Kihei hotel is only 200 feet from the beach. A beautiful location with all the amenities for our vacation!
Kohea Kai Maui, Ascend Hotel Collection is a family-friendly hotel located in Kiehi on Maui's south shore, steps from the Pacific Ocean. The hotel offers free WiFi. The staff is Incredible!!! They went out of their way to help us out when we had a terrible Airbnb...

I wouldn't stay in Kahului if you can avoid it. It is good for shopping, Costco, Walmart, Kmart, etc, but that's really about it. If you have a rented car (which you should), you should stay in any of the other semi near by towns and drive in when you need things. South Kehei, Maalaea, Lahaina, are all great places, and you have to go to one of them if you want to go to the beach anyway.
It's Maui! Wonderful place to vacation. It is an island so prices are higher than the Mainland;everything is shipped in.There are Farmers Markets and roadside stands to enjoy too. There is a lot to see and do or not. Nothing wrong with taking it easy and just enjoying the sunshine too.Bring sunscreen, even on a cloudy day you can get a burn.
We had only 2 full days on Maui, where we stayed in Kahului. One day we walked everywhere nearby (Queen Ka'ahumana Mall, Maui Arts Centre, Kahalui Harbour). The second day we took a bus trip to Haleakala volcano, Wailuka Town, Iao Valley Park and Needle and Lahaina. This is a beautiful island and we realized how much more we had no time to see and do. A local bus would have taken us to many interesting sites.
Friendly and accommodating staff at the Courtyard, overall cleanliness of the whole hotel, comfortable rooms, pool area with open fire, infrastructure (eg. Free use of the Business Centre, WiFi, laundry)
We only stayed two nights so that we could do the Road to Hana tour, a definite must for everyone that visits Maui, the scenery is just amazing. Sadly in Kahului we couldn't see the magnificent mountains nearby due to the Vog, but that is nature and we can't do much about that, I would love to come back and tour more of the island.
When the vending machine ran out of water, I asked them where I could get water they said they dont know, yet there is a garage and mall across the road as well as seaside hotel next door. I didn't find the staff very friendly
