The rooms are HUGE and amazingly well equipped. The building was a former school and each classroom is now a room to stay in - so they are huge (and each has its own nice bathroom too). Two huge beds, sofas and seating areas, and loads of interesting stuff. The owners have also made a great job of preserving the history of the school, and the area, and you could spend a day just looking around the room and the rest of the building, to learn about the local history. Breakfast was amazing too. See the photos. We normally skip hotel breakfast, but had to make an exception here. I was drinking tea - I even got to choose which teapot I had (there were lots of fun choices, mine was shaped like an elephant!) Ogdensburg is a really lovely place too - great parks, great ice cream shop, and a lot of history that I knew nothing about beforehand. And its a good base to visit various things from as well. Incredible job, a total and very pleasurable surprise. We even changed our schedule to stay an extra night.

The view from the hotel for St. Lawrence River was very beautiful. The hotel room was very friendly to me, because it gave me a friendly feeling to nature.

Cottages are right on the water overlooking gardens each with their own deck table chairs and bbq Inside offers a full kitchen; living room and bedroom. Full bathroom ( just know there’s 1 step up/down to bathroom/kitchen.) Pine interior with clean older furniture. Usually a futon for a couch . Lots of character and themed in nautical decor and Knick Knacks Quiet area just off the road Breakfast included in the price . Basic but enough to satisfy We’ve only stayed 1 night each of our 2 times as just passing through the area. 10 minutes from Prescott for shopping/groceries.
