Everyone was great at your hotel. Your new chef, CJ, I think, was amazing. I did not expect to get dinner that tasted this good at a hotel restaurant. The waitress in the morning was excellent also.

We were there for Family weekend for my grandaughter at CNU.

We were there for Family weekend for my grandaughter at CNU. It was a nice visit to learn the area somewhat. Certainly were enough resturaunts to choose from. People were pleasant but unfortunately the weather wasn't the best.

Renter beware this place is dump.

Renter beware this place is dump. First they loss my prepaid reservation. The Clerk at the front was rude. When I finally got a room the security lench on the door was missing. When I informed the front desk clerk he told me "most of the rooms are like that". He moved to another room where the carpet was coming up and roaches crawling up the wall. I viewed this turned in key left this property completely. I never stayed the full night. Next Monday filed a complaint with BBB. And codes of compliance with the city of newport news.

It was horrible. There was black mold in the shower. The lady owner is just horrible and rude! I won’t stay there again due to this after been going there for years. She will not give a late checkout not even 30 minutes which the majority of hotels/motels will accommodate to! Horrible experience. I have pictures of bathroom and being basically a housekeeping supervisor rooms were not

Fantastic hotel, even though on the day of a very busy check...

Fantastic hotel, even though on the day of a very busy check out, two of the three elevators was either slow or not working properly. Lack of room temperature regulation was a factor in my review. However, the Embassy will still be my hotel of choice,, since overall I was extremely satisfied.

Newport News Virginia is a place to make History with your family even the park was clean and peaceful, the food at the restaurant was delicious, shopping was great we did like they say shop till you drop we will be back!!!!

If you like the historical colonial setting, Yorktown is...

If you like the historical colonial setting, Yorktown is desirable and educational. Many of the old buildings are there to be toured and background information is present. But, If you just want a beach experience, as we did, Yorktown Beach is rather disappointing. Not enough places to eat or park. No other real attractions. We did find excellent seafood dinners at Chippers close to the hotel. Yorktown itself is easy to navigate and there were grocery stores, pharmacies, and other services and shops close to the hotel.

I don’t have the space to tell my experience at this place. Just know it wasn’t a good one. 5. Hours away from home, we just decided to deal with the disappointments and flaws of the place, I mean how bad can it really be at $200 a night? Amenities are down and cold water baths is all this place had to offer my family and I. Not to mention we didn’t care about the weather on this fishing trip or anything figured we didn’t have to because of the nice heated inside pool and whirl pool. My husband could have went on this trip alon3 but because we found this place, hubby and I decided make it a family trip and take our 7 year old son with us. This was actually r3ally messed up because we didn’t find out about the pools until we actually checked in, and then because of policy we were pretty much screwed. We decided to settle for less.

The city of Newport news should have inspectors go there and shut the place down til the owners redo every room in that dump hotel, hire decent workers not drug people, remove all the smelly carpet in the whole place, remove the ghetto glass at the front desk, order all real towels and wash clothes for the bathrooms, hire a real GM, do back ground checks on all employees, throw out all homeless people that stay there, keep non paying customers' from hanging around the front entrance, hire a landscaping company to redo the front of the place to make it look like something, exterminate the whole property big time, have police to do drive buys now and then, the owners off that property should be ashamed of them self's the way it is now, shut it down, i would not stay there if it was free!

I loved it all!

I loved it all!👍🏻 I enjoyed everything from the room to all the wonderful food. If was a very friendly family like atmosphere. Enjoyed being able to easily go from room to all the shops and restaurants in walking distance. Nice safe environment. We will definitely come back soon.

Gorgeous!

Gorgeous! The moment we arrived I was very pleased at how easy it was to get around. the beauty. the beach access was so easy and not busy. the people were welcoming and nice. I really didn't want to leave and I am bummed I didn't get more time to explore.
