Good size room, especially for the price, good location - easy to find - and friendly staff. There are parts under construction, nut the west wing is fine. Kind of wish there were breakfast, but I booked knowing there wasn't. Fridge in room meant I could pick up some breakfast items from Market Basket and be all set.

Portsmouth is very Old New England coastal town. Architecture, food, and people all point in the same direction. There's not loads to do, if you want an active vacation look elsewhere but for good food, small history, and coastal charm its perfect.

Kittery is very nice. Lots of restaurants and shopping. Close to the beaches too. However, our stay at the Hampton Inn in Kittery was very disappointing. We stayed there 4 nights and we never received housekeeping services. We never opted out either. We had to go down to the front desk to obtain replacements e.g. tissue, toilet tissue, clean towels etc. I asked why no service on 2 occasions and I was told the hotel is fullly booked and they don't have enough of help. Really, if that was the case I should receive a discounted room rate. I saved so I could splurge on a 4 day trip to Maine and I have to look at unmade beds and wet and used towels for 4 days....I could do that at home for free. Hampton Inn ruined my vacation.

Historic town located on the ocean with beautiful beaches. Quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Drive the winding roads to see lovely homes and pretty gardens surrounded by woods. There are several beaches - my favorite is Jenness Beach. A few miles south is Hampton Beach, always a lively place with fireworks Wednesdays and Saturdays in the summer. A few miles north is Portsmouth, with a downtown filled with historic buildings, unique shops and many good restaurants.

Staff was sooo helpful. Location was great for visiting our granddaughter at UNH. Housekeeping was upon request. We request once during the 4 night stay. Would stay here anytime. A bit pricey, but clean and quiet. Worth the money.

As we previously mentioned we were deceived and our accommodations didn’t meet our expectations! We booked an Executive King Suite to fit 3 of us. This hotel is under renovation and we didn’t receive prior communication that the suites were not available. We were put in a much smaller room with 2 queen beds. If we had been made aware of this change we would have made other arrangements!

Portsmouth has so much to offer its visitors. During our visit, we spent time exploring the city’s history and checking out some historical attractions. The area is full of museums and landmarks.
When it comes to food, Portsmouth has something for every meal and every palate. If you're in the mood for a light or hearty breakfast, a casual lunch, or fine dining for dinner- this is somewhere you have all of these options at your fingertips.

We stayed at this property for a week and were very pleased. Completely renovated, clean and quiet. Great access to the beaches, Hampton and Portsmouth. Owners were super nice and accommodating. We will definitely stay at The Inn At Rye Place again.

Our stay at the Comfort Inn was so convienant and memorable, as my father of 92yrs was here celebrating his 75th High School reunion and Dovers 400th Anniversary in the Dover parade. The trolley in the parade which had 13 classmates at the ages of 93 years old and their caregivers , was donated by his late son who passed in Nov. 2022, at the young age of 57 yrs .
A special place in our hearts “Dover”.

If you are seeing a concert at Hampton Ballroom and casino. But would like an actual hotel with an elevator and complimentary breakfast this place is perfect. 15 min from the venue and was an easy travel. Even at 12:30 after the concert was over.
