What’s not to like about San Diego. The weather is perfect and there is always something going on downtown. Little Italy has a street fair every Saturday and numerous vendors to shop at. There are so many restaurants to choose from and suitable to any budget.
We came in via a ferry from Coronado island and the area near the pier was under construction for redevelopment. The view over on the boat was so scenic. There is a visitors center and maps - you can walk or rent bikes and scooters or pick up a tour . Lots so see and do.
So many things to see and do! Water activities, great food, entertainment, shops, variety to fit any traveler! The airport is very hectic, especially if renting a car- some traffic is crazy, some places mello, places for kids,oh and the scooters are all over for quick getting around. A bit foggy at times, adjust and enjoy!!
So many different things to see and do, but I think one of the highlights of our trip was definitely visiting the San Diego Zoo Safari Park - expensive, but well worth it, it's a much different experience than visiting a traditional zoo.
A great city to wander round. Some interesting restaurants in the Gaslight area. La Jolla was well worth the drive out. Old town San Diego exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed the theatre in Balboa Park
The aggressive drivers and homeless population on the wrong side of town was off putting. On a positive note, we had dinner at a nice, local steakhouse, on the corner of the block, where Bernie Sanders turned up as we were getting ready to leave.
