The room was immaculate and even though we checked in late at night we were warmly greeted and check in was an easy process. The property is very close to the centre of St Augustine (within walking distance or a very short 5 minute drive) and we were given a map, advice on the area and even a coupon booklet for local amenities. It was quiet and we slept really well.

The location is great it's close to the historic area without the hefty price tag there's plenty of great food options locally with great prices. St. Augustine, the oldest city in the United States, is a...

St. Augustine, the oldest city in the United States, is a charming, historic and hip town with fantastic weather, friendly people and an abundant offering of food, drink and fun. It possesses a real sense of the times of the Spanish conquistadors as evidenced in the Castillo de San Marcos, Fort Matazanas and the Spanish Quarter itself. Yet so many of this great city's neighborhoods are full of treelined-streets which offer a variety of incredible Victorian, plantation, adobe, prairie, colonial styles of architecture and more, so to stroll through the neighborhoods outside of the old town and beyond is a real treat. Additionally, Flagler College sits just within the Historic District as well, which creates a really cool energy and a really fun, lively vibe. And of course, the water! This city, as do most in Florida, are very influenced by the Atlantic ocean, the intercoastal areas and the natural preserves that house an abundance of fish and wildlife. You'll never run out of things to do if your one with the beach, the water, fishing, boating, diving of hunting for creatures with the kids. St. Augustine should be a definite on the destination list and with Jacksonville just a bit north, domestic and international travel is made easy. Come check it out!

It is central to St Augustine and Jacksonville; so very easy to get around. Loved being on the beachfront! Only downside is walking our dog on A1A because we didn't want him in the sand. However, it was doable. would definitely stay here again!

It was absolutely lovely!

It was absolutely lovely! We went in late August, and the water was PERFECT! The waves were large enough to have fun in without feeling overwhelming. It was a perfect little vacation, I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Every where you go there is history.

Every where you go there is history. Just walking down a street takes a while to read all the plaques on the houses. There is a lot to see and two days was not enough. We will go back for their Christmas display this year.

We were too far from the ocean, the walk from the resort was a long walk in the heat. I liked the Fort, it was nice but the heat was just too much. The resort was not what I expected for $300 a night. I expect far better for that much money. Guy Harvey, fix your issues. I didn't get to really get out to walk around or go to any museums because of the heat. One Cuban restaurant we ate at sucked big time and cost way too much for what we got. Smokey D's BBQ was excellent!

I visit the city twice a year. St.

I visit the city twice a year. St. George street is always a good walk done and a every visit must. I travelled the roads by golf cart and will never drive the city again in a car. We visit different streets and come across so many different restaurants, shops, etc than St. George street. City Gate is a must to start your day with Free samples of about five different flavored whiskies. Lots of fine dinning, groups more than four will have trouble with wait times. Be flexible and able to split if necessary. Many local dining experiences on the island side of the lion's bridge on A1A just a little walk or drive.

Staff was friendly! Rooms are small.

Staff was friendly! Rooms are small. Advertised ocean front but sand dunes cover view and it’s over a football field walk to get to ocean. We noticed vehicles on beach & found out we cld have driven on beach for $10 a day so wld have saved money by not staying on “ocean front” and driving on beach. We had to pay $100 resort fee and wouldn’t consider it a resort. The grounds we beautifully landscaped and they was a mini golf next door that also sold soft serve ice cream. Overall we enjoyed the week even tho a bit pricey! The seafood kitchen was recommended by staff that said a lot of the locals eat there. It was the best & least expensive place we ate! The salt life restaurant was a BUST! Really expensive and small portions. We spent $50 on meal and left & went back to the seafood kitchen and ate again lol
