The flat was very spacious, well equipped and extremely clean and comfortable. It looked into a pretty back garden and is in a very small, quiet village. There is a bakery and butcher in the village but no supermarket: the nearest is about 6 minutes by car. There is a bus into Wurzbug which takes about 20 minutes. The owners were friendly but not intrusive and gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants in Wurzburg. We used it as a base for day trips to Bamberg and Rothenburg. Highly recommended.

The location of Hoechberg among Wuerzburg is ideal for a vacation home. Although I was not on any vacation, I have been in Europe for the first time in my life for the long term to start a new research career in JMU. The landlord was really nice and helpful.
