The place was very cute and had way more than I needed for one night alone. Because it was so hot, I ended up sleeping on the futon in the living room where the A/C is. It was actually very comfy. I spent most of the next day in Cuenca, and they let me store my bags at the mercado. And then, despite a language barrier, they helped me call a taxi when I was struggling to call one. I felt very taken care of on my first solo overnight anywhere in Europe.

Car parking in the blue zone nearby is an option for overnight stays as payment is only needed Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 14:00, 17:00 to 20:00. Saturday between 10:00 and 14:00. Is €1.60 for each 2-hour maximum duration. There was no detergent for the washing machine when we were there. Clothes hangers and pegs were provided. These quickly dried in the warm weather after hanging them on the line outside the window. A full size ironing board (not the table mounted type) was provided.

This is a very comfortable, super clean and well located apartment in the old town of Cuenca. Eva is a fantastic host and very helpful and responsive. We were 2 couples and I have to say the trundle beds in the second bedroom are probably better suited to children or young people. However this doesn't detract from the high quality of the apartment. The lift was very much appreciated by my parents and the washing machine was very helpful. The kitchen is well appointed and the centre of town is a 5-7 minute walk away. There is a bus stop 2 minutes away. I would recommend this apartment for a base to explore Cuenca.
