This self-guided tour will give you the chance to explore one of Bulgaria's most important cultural attractions at your own pace. The tenth-century Rila Monastery, also known as the Monastery of Saint Ivan of Rila, has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its Bulgarian National Revival architecture and its role in preserving the Bulgarian language and culture.
