Plantation walk is a day tour. Those who are coming to Munnar can opt for this activity. This involves a maximum1- 2 hour walk through the Tea plantation and interaction with Tea Pluckers to learn the local culture of the people. Moreover this walk is good for heath in the form of breathing pure oxygen and peace of mind. It is a new attraction introduced by Lockhart Farm Tourism in Munnar. The objective of this unique programme is to give the tea lovers all around the world the unique experience of producing their own tea from the tea plant to the cup. The Lockhart tea factory is famous for its Orthodox Tea produced in the traditional way. The museum includes a living factory which was built in 1936 and a tea sales outlet and tea-tasting sections. The trek will start at the height of 1420 meters MSL (approx), we will start through the tea plantations for about 60 to 90 minutes, After reaching the top of the hill, rest of our couple of hours trek will be on the ridge which offers beautiful views around, it will be through grasslands, one side will be rocky mountain slope and the other side will be tea plantations, patches of Shola forest etc…, in a clear sky day we could see the Anaimudi “highest peak in S. India” and the water reservoir of Idukki Dam which listed as highest arch dams in Asia and third tallest dam in India. We will have refreshment/picnic lunch at any suitable place during the trek, our trek we will be through Nature Zone where we can see some of exotic spices like Coffee, Cardamom, etc…, Will have another 60 minutes to 01.5 hours walk through the tea plantations to finish the trek, highest point of this trek will be about 1950 meters MSL (approx)

Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary, also known as the Dr Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is one of the richest bird habitats in peninsular India, comparable only with the Eastern Himalayas. A trip through this sanctuary would certainly be a bonanza for any birder, with over 300 species found in a relatively small area of 25 sq kms. Some of the rarely seen species at Dr Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary are Mottled Wood Owl, Sri Lanka Frogmouth, Rusty-tailed Flycatcher, Indian Pitta, Sri Lanka bay Owl, White - bellied woodpecker, Malabar Trogon, Black Baza. One can find a larger number of Endemic species seen in Western Ghats here. Malabar Grey Hornbill, White- bellied Blue Flycatcher, Malabar Barbet, Malabar Parakeet, Flame-Throated Bulbul, Malabar Woodshrike, Crimson backed Sunbird, Nilgiri Flowerpecker, White-bellied Treepie, Rufous Babbler, Grey-fronted Green Pigeon, Grey-headed Bulbul are some of them.

This is a trek of 4 to 5 hours (4 km up and 4 km down) that goes through tea, coffee, and cardamom plantations and mountains. The trek starts at 1550 meters, and it's a climb of 400 meters high. Then the altitude will be 1900 meters. It offers a view of 25 small villages and 3 dams.

The tour begins from Old Munnar by walking on the way to Lakshmi Tea Estate where you can feel the fresh air with the beauty of green tea plantations with a wide variety of other trees and plants. While walking through the plantations you can see a river flowing and three different temples on the way and also the Chokanad Tea Factory can be seen. Then walking through a narrow way takes you to the CSI Church Munnar, which is more than 100 years old. The Church is always open for visitors. The tour is finish at Munnar CSI Church.
