On this walking tour of Berlin, you will go back in time to the Third Reich and see the most important places of that era.
You will walk from the Federal Chancellery to the Brandenburg Gate and you’ll find out why it’s surprising that the Reichstag building still stands today. You’ll go through the government district and see the Gerndarmenmarkt and hear about the development of the Nikolai quarter of the city.
You’ll visit the Tiergarten where you’ll see the Soviet War Memorial as well as the military cemetery. You’ll also see the Holocaust memorial, the monument to murdered European Jews and the Führerbunker where Adolf Hitler was said to have committed suicide alongside his wife. The tour will end at Checkpoint Charlie at the Topography of Terror which was a project in Berlin to document terror at the time of National Socialism.
