On this four-hour guided tour, you’ll explore historical sites related to life in Berlin during the Cold War. Your expert guide will offer insights into the espionage, intrigue and surveillance that occurred for decades behind the Iron Curtain
You’ll have a chance to visit the Palace of Tears, a border crossing point between East and West Berlin. You’ll also be able to walk the Berlin Wall Trail and stand before a guard tower. Along the way, you’ll learn about the Stasi (East German State Security), especially how their spying systems held East German citizens under surveillance for 40 years. Making your way to Bernauer Strasse, you’ll visit Tunnel 57, the most successful escape tunnel beneath the Berlin Wall. At the end of your tour, you’ll wind up in Alexanderplatz, an iconic public square in Berlin’s Mitte district.
