On this tour, you'll travel from Munich to the Berchtesgadener Land rural district. Here, you'll take a special bus and lift up to the Kehlsteinhaus chalet, also known as The Eagle's Nest, a secluded meeting and strategising site for the Nazis before and during World War II. Your guide will explain the history of this mountaintop hideaway and answer questions. You'll also have the option to visit the on-site documentation centre to view Nazi paperwork and other artefacts.
Back on the ground, you'll make a stop to explore the nearby town of Berchtesgaden. The route back to Munich will take you down a scenic German alpine road offering views over the valleys of Bavaria.
