What to see on the road to Stepantsminda (Kazbegi)- Kazbegi (since 2007 renamed Stepantsminda) is the first large settlement on the Georgian side of the Georgian Military Highway. The sights of Kazbegi include natural and architectural monuments that are worth seeing. Old Mount Kazbek is actually an extinct volcano that last erupted 2.5 thousand years ago.
