On this full-day guided tour of historical Crete, you will visit the Monastery of Arkadi, the Museum of Ancient Eleftherna with artefacts dating back to Homer’s era, the Melidoni cave and have the chance to make your own Greek pottery in a ceramics workshop.
You will arrive at the Monastery of Arkadi and have one hour of free time to go inside and visit the museum with historical monastic relics and weapons. You will then travel to the Museum of Ancient Eleftherna before moving on to the village of Margarites for a pottery workshop.
After lunch, you will visit an olive oil manufacturer, where you will learn how Cretans made olive oil in the past and enjoy a tasting. Finally, you will explore the Melidoni cave, a place of worship during the Minoan Civilisation.
