At Adamieion Ceramic Art Studio on Zakynthos, you’ll spend time creating with clay under the guidance of ceramic artist Dionysia Avouri, the studio’s owner. The workspace sits in a pleasant spot among olive trees and vineyards, away from noisy tourist resorts, where you can admire some of the island’s oldest olive trees—about 1,500–2,000 years old. The session is family friendly, so you can come with friends or with your children and enjoy a relaxed, hands-on experience.
You’ll make a turtle and a second, more free-form piece, with style and decoration guided by your own creativity. Along the way you’ll learn basic ceramic skills from Dionysia and paint your pieces before they are fired. Your finished items will be fired at the studio and can be collected later or sent to your home. The experience gives you the chance to play, express yourself and take home unique souvenirs—your own ceramic memories from a holiday in Zakynthos.
