On this tour, you'll get to spend the day immersed in ancient history at two archaeological sites – Pompeii and Herculaneum. Local archaeologists will be your guides, and they'll lead you through the preserved streets of the two Roman cities destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 CE. You'll see remarkable ruins of homes and public spaces as the guides share the cities' histories. You'll break for a lunch featuring local cuisine, and you'll get to sample regional wines too. After lunch, you'll end your adventure with a drive along the slopes of the volcano.

The transport is wheelchair accessible, but please note that there are uneven surfaces at the sites visited, which may be challenging for wheelchair users or participants with reduced mobility.
During the low season (November to March), the live guide inside Pompeii will be replaced by an official, interactive audio guide for groups of less than six participants.
