This private day tour will begin with a short 25-minute train ride from Venice Santa Lucia to Padua. From there, your guide will take you on a discovery walk to see the historical centre’s highlights. You’ll start at the 18th-century literary cafe – Cafè Pedrocchi, followed by Palazzo del Bo and the University of Padua.
During the tour, you’ll get to see many of the city’s most beautiful squares such as Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza della Frutta – where your guide will point out the former city court headquarters – Palazzo della Ragione. As the tour progresses, you’ll pass by Piazza dei Signori with its famous astrological clock and Piazza Duomo to see the Romanesque-style cathedral. Other notable sights you'll see before the tour ends will be Prato della Valle square and the revered religious site – the Basilica of Saint Anthony.
